Can God Really see the Future?

this is regarding the garden of eden/apple dispute.. if the all knowing, all powerful god sees/knows the future then surely the angels (that he created) should know the god knows the future.. now god knows that humans cannot rule themselves, hence the angels should also know this 'fact'.. why does he need to prove this point to the angels (as is taught by the wt)?.

do the angels doubt the almighty god or do they have a reason not to trust or believe him?.

Now whilst I am out I'll put my dub-thinking cap on.

IF God gives creatures free-will to do whatever then He would still need to prove His rule is best to His creatures....Him knowing the future has nothing to do with it...

But IF He can know everything and He will sort things out on earth then no-one has free will...

does anyone have the 7/15/2013 study wt?

i watched this video this morning and in it, the person refered to the july 15 wt but does not say what lesson or page.

showing in the video where it says that 'jesus arrival to appoint the faithful slave over his belongings did not occour in 1919'.. on the jw.org website i downladed this issue and cant find where this is stated , i do not have that issue.. if someone can watch the video , its almost at the end, tell me id your issue says that.

if it is not at the jw.org website, and the statement is in the print issue then why would that be?

They say there are two appointments in that parable sorry prophecy.

First appointment, over the dosmetics occurrs in 1919 and the FDS were chosen then to do this.

Second appointment will be the FDS but will be appointed over ALL belongings and is in the future...

Doesn't really matter though as Don Cameron points out in his book Captives to a Concept the WT fail to live up to their own qualifying criteria ergo they could not have been appointed in 1919...

An Austrian man has won the right to wear a plastic colander on his head in his driving license photo, by apparently insisting that the kitchenware was a part of his religion.

Niko Alm decided to wear a pasta strainer on the document after he read that headwear is only allowed on official documentation, such as driving licenses, on religious grounds.

He submitted his application to wear the pasta strainer three years ago, citing he was a ‘Pastafarian’ – the name given to a member of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

The US-based parody-religion made headlines last month, when Guy Albon, a member from Adelaide, used a photo of him wearing a metal colander on his gun license photo. Officials feared the photo suggested he did not have the “mental competency” to hold the license.

The committee of 3 elders that is appointed to help the DA one is a very different procedure to the committee that is involved in a JC.

In the case of the DA if the person writes a letter to DA himself then the the 3 elders chat to him to see why and if the elders cannot change his mind then an announcement is made to the congregation.

A JC involves investigation into an alleged wrongdoing and talking to the accused.

That being said, in the taking of blood, which according to the new Elders manual is likened to one DA himself it advises:

"Willingly and unrepentantly taking blood. If someone willingly takes blood, perhaps because of being under extreme pressure, the committee should obtain the facts and determine the individual's attitude. If he is repentant the committee would provide spiritual assistance in the spirit of Galatians 6: 1 and Jude 22, 23.

Since he is spiritually weak, he would not qualify for special privileges for a period of time, and it may be necessary to remove certain basic privileges.

Depending on the circumstances, the committee also need to arrange for an announcement to the congregation: "'The elders have handled a matter having to do with [name of person]. You will be glad to know that spiritual shepherds are endeavoring to render assistance."

On the other hand, if the elders on the committee determine that he is unrepentant, they should announce his disassociation."

I find it very interesting that several have reported that DO's and CO's have mentioned that something big is coming...I haven't read that on here before so the Annual Meeting in October will certainly be interesting...in a way...

DA does not call for a JC...when someone DA's the elders are supposed to go round and try and "readjust" the person to come back but there is no JC...it is the persons choice to DA hence the elders have no say in it...whilst DF is where you are ousted by the elders...DA is where you leave.

Taking blood is in effect DA since by your actions you are saying you no longer want to be a dub...

i of course grew up with star wars in ther 80s and the 3 star treks runing at once in the 90s' so shows depicting aliens never bothered me.. however in 95 i read 'hyperspace' by micheo kuku.

my dad picked it up and scanned it saying: "i see no reason jehovah didn't create 2 dimentional creatures we cant see.

my dad like alot of the book.

According to recent NASA predictions they say that there could be 100 million worlds in our Galaxy alone that could host "life" as they say every star within our Galaxy could have at least one planet...ergo there are 100 million stars in our Galaxy and with one planet each then one could host life.

Add the fact there are billions and billions of Galaxies each with hundreds of millions of stars in each then you are talking that the probability of life in some form on another planet is pretty much guarenteed.

Ergo there is no god...

With the August campaign to promote jw.org I wonder if they are going to rethink their main methods of the ministry...less door to door work? Less printing and placing of mags but redirect to the website?

The reminders in the last WT quote seems to suggest it is to do with the way they organise and do their work...
