  So many weird comments on here.

  TM has not done anything technically wrong...except he preaches and teaches one thing and this video highlights another.

  You can't preach and teach that money is tight, it should be donated, even at the cost of an ice cream and splash $800 on booze...if an elder caught a dub buying $800 of booze there would be "questions" asked and the conversation would go something like it is not a good witness.

  There may be legit reasons to buy $800 of booze but if you considered "Jehoover" then perhaps you wouldn't do it in broad daylight on a Sunday morning.

  It's the hypocrisy in it...

  we all know the society would love to get rid of all the problems caused by clinging to 1914 and all they claimed it meant for the last 100+ years.. it looks like they are laying the groundwork for easing away from the whole concept of 1914. this would also let them do away with the ridiculous "overlapping generation" bullcrap.

  what a diaper load that has been.... anyway, the following is from their super secret marching orders for april, 2019. draw your own conclusions.... "3.

  Whilst some in the past have clung to dates such as 607 BCE, the Faithful Salve has always advised caution.

  horror is easily my favourite genre of movie so i just thought i'd start a thread on it.. horror can be done badly and there are plenty of crap horror movies, no doubt about that.

  but horror can also be done very well, too - often on a low budget.. plus, there are quite a lot of subgenres - slasher, supernatural, monster movies, body horror, psychological horror, zombie, vampire, etc.. so, do you like horror?.

  what's your favourite subgenre?.

  Goodnight Mom...psychological horror...very tense...I love horror films like that...

  Found footage possession films are great too.

  The greatest horrors are what humans can do to one another not aliens or monsters. I guess that is the point of The Walking Dead.

  so i was talking with my husband about all the things the organization is doing ie.

  hiding pedophiles, lying about what 1914 was etc.

  so his response was that the nation of israel had times when they weren’t doing the right thing, but it was still gods chosen organization.. another topic we were talking about was disfellowshipping.

  i'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on this.. they're digging themselves a great hole here, in about 30 years time they'll be claiming this video was a mere "speculation" and that "some people" got the wrong ideas..

  1919 does give them more time than 1914 because it is not tied fo “this generation”.
  1919 simply marks the re-establishment of pure worship and the endtime can stretch from that date indefinitely.
  Keeping 1919 affirms the authority of the GB-faithful slave chosen in that year, without tying them down to 1914-generation teaching.
  For example Seventh Day Adventists believe the endtime and investigative judgement began in 1844 and continue to stretch this out.

  But still Satan has a "short period of time" from when he was thrown down to the earth, which they still teach is 1914. If they ever change 1914 as not the birth of the kingdom or the start of the signs of the last day with Satan on the earth they are in a world of pain as that affects a lot of their teachings.

  I agree they are trying to mention 1914 less and more on 1919 but the reality it that it doesn't change much.

  Slim...the issue with 1914 is not just faulty prophecy or chronlogically incorrect.

  1919 is only 5 years after 1914 and they still teach that Satan has a "short period of time"...whether 1914 or 1919 the fact is we are 100 years from that and getting further away from it.

  The reason why we on this forum are stating they need to drop 1914 is the very same reason they will need to eventually drop 1919....it's too long ago and nothing has happened as to what they say will happen.

  but I believe this is the first time the Watchtower stated if any of the 144,000 would be on Earth at Armageddon which is a "no". That creates a real dilemma for them with increased partakers.

  No, they taught years ago that during the GT but before the Big A that all anointed would be in heaven...if they are alive during the GT then they are "taken" to heaven so all 144,000 slaughter innocent ones.

  Sorry, not buying it...the WT has kept the "ministry" at the forefront all its damn life and to remove the one thing that keeps people in check, recording hours, will demotivate dubs.

  You got a brother and sister, young and married with no kids...they do 8 hours a month each to be seen to be "in the truth".

  If they do not record hours anymore they will be motivated to do less because the only reason they do 8 hours a month is to be seen and record hours and send them to their Book Overlord.

  NOT recording hours will undoubtedly means less hours will be done by dubs...and the WT will not have that.

  thanks to atlantis, this statement is mentioned on chapter 1 paragraph 1 in the middle.

  but i like how the statement says members but the sentence right before has the governing body dudes in a collective whole like voltron here is the paragraph in whole.

  Clearly Jehoover doesn't know what he is doing then...either that or the Holy Spirit doesn't want to co-operate because if there is any direction it is clearly wrong given all the changes in the recent years.

  Question...I used to knock on doors and tell everyone that this "literal" generation of people in 1914 would see "the end of the system". I was directed to do so by the GB via their approved publications as there was a whole damn chapter devoted to the "Generation" in the Knowledge book.

  That was wrong according to the current teachings...so who got it wrong? Was it:

  • Jehoover directing incorrectly?
  • The GB not applying the correct direction?
  • The HS not conveying Jehoover's thoughts to the GB correctly?

  Either one of those has to be right and if any are right then you can't ever trust the direction coming from the GB ergo like the "scripture" says...do not follow men.

  Hence I exited. Logic wins.
