What's up, homeboy? I'm glad to see that you and "M" are doing fine.
YOUR mom is talking smack about you? Sorry to hear that.
"M"s mom seems to be at all the meetings. I thought she was fed up with the JWs. What's her feelings?

DIM is an apostate
by DIM inwell, after 9 months of being out, i've learned that the rumour is out that i am apostate.
this is primarily because of things my mother has said to people.
the funny thing is that i moved 3000 miles away and have barely had any contact with any of my old friends.

What Did You Give Up To Be A Jehovah's Witness?
by minimus inbesides giving up our time and assets,is there anything that you particularly felt that you truly "gave up" to become or remain a witness?

I ended up getting married as a JW to a JW at the age of 22. I married a woman who I liked a lot. I met her November, 1990 and got engaged in June, 1991. We were married by June, 1992.
To answer your question, I only married her because I wanted some stability in my life. I don't and have never loved her the way a husband loves a wife. I love her like a sister or a best friend. So, NO, I haven't TRULY loved someone since my first love. At least I have kept in touch with my first love. She is happily married and she just had her first child. We are good friends now.

When I first started going (about 8 years old) I gave up Christmas and Birthday's.
When I became inactive (at 14 years old and baptized) and began to come back (17 years old), I gave up most of my true friends.
When I still was struggling off and on with my comeback (about 20 years old), I fell in love with a "worldly" girl. I truly, really loved her. I gave her up because I didn't want to be unevenly yoked.

An elder that said from the platform: "Bigfoot is a leftover race of Nephilim."
That has to be the funniest thing I ever heard!!! Truly a classic!

Uff! Brumm, that was yucky! They flicked boogers and an adult intercepted it and then ate it? UFF!
Here another thing I seened:
*Three brothers attended one book study regularly. The conductor, me (just a Publisher), and another brother (a Pioneer). Me and the Pioneer guy arrived at the book study but there was no conductor. The meeting was scheduled to begin and me and the Pioneer guy began discussing who would conduct. I am a good speaker and a good reader and I am lively. The Pioneer guy was mildly retarded and more boring than watching paint dry. Anyway, neither one of us ever conducted a meeting (neither of us was an MS or elder).
I said, "I'll conduct."
He got indignat with me and said, "No. I'll conduct."
Puzzled, I asked, "Why do you think that you should conduct and not me?"
He responded, "Because I'm a Pioneer and you're NOT!"
I just shook my head and walked away (cussing him out under my breath). Just before the meeting began, the conductor showed up.

Went to a meeting a few weeks ago.......
by flower inwell actually it wasnt a meeting, it was my grandma's funeral but it may as well been the 'special talk' for the year with all the bullshit they were spewing.. the 'brother' giving the 'eulogy' (haha..) was an elder from my former congregation, my parents current congregation and to my knowledge (i'm 99% sure) has never met or seen my grandmother before that day.
neither had any of the other jw's that were there 'supporting' my family...well the jw family anyway, the rest of us dont need support since we are df'd.. i hadnt been to a meeting for almost 2 years now and i cant tell you how hard it was sitting through the twisting of scriptures and arrogance know it all attitude coming from the speaker.
my bf and i just looked at each other in disgust while scripture after scripture was read to prove the dead are just dead and their soul is dead and all we have to do is wait till the ressurection if we want to see them again.

Your response made me laugh extremely hard. I'm glad the "nipple" brother and his wife don't have any kids. They wouldn't know how to teach them about body parts. Nipples would be areolas. Breasts would be mammaries. Vaginas would be vulvas. etc., etc.
