i'm in the middle of dissecting the june 2017 jw broadcasting video.. in the first minute, they summarize a story about a guy who apparently was a one-time bad ass (showed a picture of him with a beard while posing on a chopper).

then, they show him shaving at the exact same moment the narrator is saying how he regained "a clean conscience".. this no-beard obsession by the jws is beyond nuts.. .

I guess in JW land the motto must be "All shaved brothers are not necessarily good, but all unshaved brothers are definitely bad".

KISS - Knights In Satan's Service

growing up as a jw, i was told that kiss stood for knights in satan's system (or service).. i just did a google search and learned it's not true.

Growing up as a JW, I was told that KISS stood for Knights In Satan's System (or Service).

I just did a Google search and learned it's not true. It's actually not an acronym for anything.

To be honest, apparently it's not just the JWs who believe it means something related to Satan.

At one point — we were stopped at a red light — Paul said, “How about KISS?” Peter and I nodded, and that was it. It made sense. Hindsight is 20/20, of course, and since then people have talked about all the benefits of the name: how it seemed to sum up certain things about glam rock at the time; how it was perfect for international marketing because it was a simple word that people understood all over the world. But we just liked the name, and that was that.

i was thinking about how they jws are having underground meetings in russia and other countries giving total disregard to the laws established by their local governments.

i assume they would pull the "we're followers of god, not men" card.. but then on jw .

But then on JW . ORG they have this:

I guess I'm just saying I find their tactics highly annoying. I picture them waving their papers and pointing at them saying, "See? It says right here that we have rights"!

But, when the government of Russia, for example, breaks up one of their banned meetings, they cry persecution.

So, they cry "persecution" by the locals because the government says they have a right not to sing the national anthem AND ecourages the educators to respect students' freedom of religion. And they cry "persecution" when a government bans their freedom of religion.

It's the same way the JWs view/use the media: It's true if it's favorable. It's false if it's critical.

officially, the witnesses did an "educational work", with lectures, videos and they supplied study material.

They must have frightened the children with foresight of the end of the world, existence of hell, etc.

Obviously, they did not say anything about their condemnation of homosexuals (or did they?) or the shunning they do against those who leave the sect.

If, in Brazil, there was respect for the secular state, the Public Prosecutor's Office would request an investigation to find out who authorized this intellectual rape of children.

JWs attack defenseless
