Heineken, Grolsch, Amstel
Tried Heineken and Amstel. Great beers. You can't beat a Labatt Blue though.

crazy151drinker: I know everything will work out. I don't worry about that at all. I like your reference to California girls, cause Windrider is a transplanted California girl!
pettygrudger: I agree. You can't beat Canadian beer. I don't know about Canadian men, but I am happy to let the ladies continue to think that!

Spanner,
Are you referring to culture or language?
I like every culture. I have only lived in Canada and the U.S. Both are great countries.
As far as accents go, Americans seem to like the Canadian accent. Now, my accent is a cross between Canadian and whatever the Seattle area has.
If you really want to hear a Canadian accent, get a Canuck to say, "out and about".
It is no secret that I would prefer to live in America. Blame my father, he raised us to have a lot of respect for America, because without the U.S., Canada would not be the great country it is.
Perhaps I am being too hard on Canada. Most of my adult life in Canada was a struggle with little reward, and the short time I lived in the States was little struggle and good reward.
Plus, I like how Americans think and act. I fit right in. At least in Washington State.
Few Canadian women really attract me. Actually, only one has in a long time. Alas, the interest was not returned...
American women attract me, and I wont list the reasons here. Mind you, I am still as fussy as ever.
Windrider is a hell of an act to follow, and losing her is my biggest regret in life. Very recently, I thought I had found someone who was as rare as Windrider, but that relationship proved to be unhealthy and died quickly.

having a tight control over us, the watchtower teachings told us what jobs we could or couldn't have.
did you lose a great job opportunity because of their control over you?
I turned down a few opportunities, but there is one I regret the most.
Marconi was going to hire me to design and develop aircraft control systems. I was an Electronics Engineering Technologist and after four years or so with Marconi I would have a Degree.
I turned it down only because I had to be willling to work on military contracts. I was told I would never actually work on a military contract but had to be willing to do so. This was to avoid any possible staff assignment issues.
I personally had no problem with working on military contracts - that was one area where I disagreed with the JWs - but because I was a JW, I refused.

sorry this isn't jw related but its weighing heavy on my mind.
6 months ago i started working as a hairstylist.
i booth rent and buy all my own supplies.......... the salon provides nothing.
Finally I feel like crap because I'm being coldhearted to some guy I know could use the money more than me.
No need to feel like crap. He is a con man as you say, so don't do him any favors.
Based on what you told us, he is not just a man struggling to start a business. He is dishonest and deceitful. You owe him no kindness at all.
There are ways he could do it if he were honest. Like offering you a deal and splitting the cost of supplies. But he didn't do that and has chosen to blantantly lie.
He deserves to be treated coldheartedly.

let's say you are out with your girlfriend/wife for a nice lunch in a nice restaurant.
then, all of sudden she is in pain!!!
well, she is having her monthly thing.
But it shows me that he does care about these things. His mother did a good job raising him. Even if it was by herself..To me, not caring what others think and helping me, that is more manly than acting embarassed or ashamed of this type of situation. My husband will always be sexy just for that.Xandria
Xandria,
He sounds one hell of a good hubby.
BTW, your artwork is awesome.

BTW.I once offered my wife two aspirins. She asked me what they were for.I told her that they were for her headache. She said that she didn"t have a headache.SOOOO! I said good, " lets make love!"
Blueblades, I am going to remember that one!
The people here are cracking me up today.

Let's say you are out with your girlfriend/wife for a nice lunch in a nice restaurant. Then, all of sudden she is in pain!!! Well, she is having her monthly thing. What would you do?
What?? Short of the man being with his first girlfriend, why is this question being asked? How insensitive is the man if he doesn't know the answer to this one?
It is simple. Ask her what she wants or needs right now. If it is Midol or a tampon, go to the drugstore and get some. If she needs to go home and rest, take her home. Her needs are what is important right then, not the dinner out. I am surprised that taking her home was not an option.
After a few months of being with her, you will know what to do.
Men make such a big deal out of a normal body function. The biology of it is simple enough, the women have the hard part! Yet, some men will not even go to a store to buy tampons...hell, I will change her tampon for her, it doesn't bother me. Personally, I like the look of shock in her eyes when I do...
Yes, some women are major bitches when PMS kicks in. Put up with it as best you can and try to comfort her. Hell, my then spouse put up with me when I was bitchy...
BTW, an extra bonus with some women is that they get VERY horny when on their periods. So it does not have to be a hardship for the man at all.
