i'm always hearing apostates propose the idea of partaking of the emblems or passing out apostate literature at the memorial... but heathen has given me an even better idea.... a mass walk-out.

I wonder if it takes a permit to pass alcohol around in a public place, especially where there are children???

As part of a church service, I doubt it. The Catholic Church has often included wine as part of Mass for centuries.

i was brought up as one, along with other members of our large family.. i was baptised at 10, df'd at the age of 16, and reinstated when i was about 30. .

Witnesses Just Tried to Have Me Arrested!!!!

well, i just got home and im piping madd.. im laughing about it as well though because i outsmarted them at their own game and got a rant off my chest.. heres what happened.

an acquaintance i used to go to the hall with.. who is also 3 years younger than me asked me for money about 6 months ago.. at the time, i loaned him $50 to get the tires on his car fixed.

in that time period, not only did he move out of his parents house to an undisclosed location because he decided to stop going to the kh.. but i also da myself in that time frame.. due to the fact he moved out, i havent been able to reach him.. i tried calling his parents home to discover his current location or at least to tell them if he contacts them, to be sure to have him reach me because he owes me money.. no response.

Sometimes the $50 is not worth what you have to go through to get it. Sometimes the principle is worth it. You will have to decide that.

Since the parents do not owe you the money, you could get in legal trouble for stalking or harassment. It would probably cost you more than $50 if you are charged.

A polite phone call once a day might do it. After several weeks, they may tire of hearing your voice and tell their son to pay up. Or they might have you charged.

Or call the son's employer. A man owed my ex $150 and when we went to collect, his answer was "Sue me." Wrong answer. I merely showed up at his work daily, inquired about him and was very polite. I also called daily, asking for him. When his boss told me that I was not welcome there, I told him that when I was paid, I would stop calling or visiting, except for my normal business there (I was also a client.). I was always very polite and cooperative. Finally, his boss sat him down and told him that his personal life was affecting his work life and that he had better separate the two damned quick. He paid up.

You have no legal grounds to go after the parents. They have no obligation to talk to you or their son about this.

It might be wise to eat the cost and chalk it up to experience.

Which Watchtower teachings lack logic?

which watchtower teachings lack logic?.

i know you're all tempted to say all of them, but some beliefs if the facts were true, would be logical.. which ones that are supposed to be a logical consequence of a true fact are in fact not logical whether the fact is true or not?.

for an example of logical belief based on untrue or unprovable fact , if god created adam and all humans came from him,(supposed fact) he could pass on defects in his genes to all humans and we could all be "imperfect".this we could call logical.. a watchtower belief that lacks logic is for example jw's who go through armageddon or die and are ressurected to earth are not perfect but still have another test to go through, yet those who die and that go to heaven are perfect straight away and require no further testing.. so which teachings are based on beliefs that are not true and which ones are just not logical?

Also...logically, the most loving thing a person could do is kill as many people as possible before Armageddon. They would lose their life, but save so many others.....

i need some advice.

i have been dating this guy for 3 years.

of those 3 years, he has cheated on me many many times, but i can only prove some.

Leave.

No matter how nice he is now, he does not deserve you, and you deserve better.

Many abusers will be nice for a while. Typically, this is while they think you may leave. Once they know you will stay, and especially once you start trusting him again, he will start again.

You dont need that shit in your life. Nor will any kids you have. It doesnt matter even if he will stay nice for the rest of his life. Why take the chance?

If your daughter or a female friend said to you, "My man has cheated on me several times, he hits me, etc. Should I leave?" what would your answer be?

Leaving is hard. My wife was a husband-beater and I didnt leave even though I have advised women to leave abusive husbands. After the last night of beatings, I finally realized that I wasn't doing what I tell women to do. Leave. Plus, this time, my kid saw it.

BTW, they are often so very, very sorry. Don't believe it. Dump him and never return to him. If he was truly sorry, he will treat his next lady kindly. Fat chance of that happening.

Leaving was tough, but worth it. My ex and my two oldest sons actually thanked me. My youngest is not with his mom and is no longer afraid. The dishes I got last year are still here. The furniture I got last year is still undamaged. The peace of mind is unreal.
