Boat workshop is up near Stithians about 25 miles from Newquay. No need for me to get to know any other ex witnesses - they all do my head in. TBH as I said the JW issues very rarely go through my mind these days and I don't see myself as being any different to anyone else now. Completely forgot that I even wrote the post above Stan that's how infrequently anything to do with JWs goes through my mind these days. The JWs and exjw's come to that all feel, well, a bit of a foreign concept to me these days I've now been out of it all for so long.
The only exjw I keep in regular contact with was my best mate that I grew up with in the witnesses, he's been out for many years as well now and about 3 years ago we caught up again and rekindled our childhood friendship and now we're still best mates and write each other each week constantly taking the piss out of each other.
As for ever receiving any compensation out of the Watchtower for the years of abuse I went through in my entire childhood I've long given up that as a lost cause. People just aren't interested in addressing the abuse many of the 'brothers' went through as children themselves in the organisation - it's only the 'sisters' who get the attention on the child abuse front. Us men, our issues are / have been conveniently swept under the carpet. Sad but true. -

Hello Simon (and Angharad - hopefully I got the spelling correct from memory). Thank you for the welcome. Yep interesting few years since we last wrote - must be 20 years now since I left this place.
Life has got better and better in many regards but still a struggle with everything going on in the world but still doing my best (and doing a lot better financially than many). Still not well off by any means but at least I'm still alive and kicking (and as cantankerous as ever and even more eccentric than I ever was lol).
Yep Elpi is my best friend. She's just lovely. Great companion for me. Love her to absolute bits. Pretty much inseparable now. Here she in just hanging around on Corfu (in the dog carrier I made for her) when she was a little pup. Gorgeous lil thing. -

Me? Yeah all good. Still out of course. If truth be told JW issues hardly ever go through my mind these days if ever. Well, I have been df'ed for over 25 years now and counting so I should hope by now I'm over 99% of the issues. Bloody nora, looking back I was in a ruddy bad state back then, fuck only knows how you all put up with me. A lot of you helped back in the day more than you will ever know so take this as a big thank you for putting up with me all those years ago and giving me the encouragement I needed to keep going. How I never committed suicide I don't know.
Anyway that's all behind me now.
Spent several years volunteering on the refugee situation in Europe. Was heavily involved with the refugee boat rescues on Lesvos (lost over 3,500 including many women and children to drowning - very stressful). Last few years back working for myself selling boats and outboard engines here in Cornwall. Pandemic bollocks hit my profits hard this season but all things being equal still not a bad trading season, at least I've still made a good profit and I'm still working flat out and I absolutely LOVE it.
Still no woman in my life lol. Any takers LOL? Gormless twat (6FT 6 and 53), no teeth, bald as a coot, crazy sense of humour, smoker, very light drinker, addicted to 'work', must love boats...please send photo of boat and outboard if you have one. :)
Elpi (half the Greek work for 'hope') photo attached was found next to the refugee camp run by the German anarchists at No Border Kitchen Lesvos (where I also volunteered) 7 miles from the Moria detention facility on the outskirts of Mytilene. Found her when she was just 3 weeks old and could fit into the palm of my hand and we've been inseparable ever since - now 4 1/2 years old. Scooped her up (stray pup) popped her into my van which doubled as my sleeping 'pod' to keep my costs down and hand fed her to the healthy happy daft dog she is now. The rest is history. She came down with me again in the van to Athens from west Cornwall (United Kingdom) in 2017. -

Celtic's Eclectic Music Collection
by MebyonKernow inas you can only begin to imagine lol over the years i've amassed a rather odd music collection.no particular genre grabs me - i just enjoy damn good music.
some soft and gentle, some metal, some british foot stomping folk music, some mysterious and sad music...i have very broad musical taste.on a whim now and again i'll post up a track or two to whet your musical palette and appetite.
i'll start off with gentle and soft.

A long time favourite artist of mine - I listen to this sometimes in the woods in my van with a camp fire going. On a full moon up on Exmoor or Dartmoor it doesn't get much better, sipping on a few glasses of red wine with Elpi my dog for company and smoking a spliff completely relaxed in utter peace and quiet.

The only name I recognised from all of the replies above was Blondie. Still I do appreciate everyone else input. A few of the names dropped I recalled instantly. Valis for example bless him. He was a good guy. Wonder where his is now? Nina married and in the Canary Islands eh? Awww bless.
Oompa that's sad to hear. Too many suicides over the years. I know of quite a few too. Anyone remember ChimpGirl in London? She was an absolute darling. Nelly was another good lass from London. Wonder where she is now as well. Onacruise I remember him. Kent obviously as well. If memory recalls correctly it was Kent and one or two others who got the JWs booted out of the UN (it was me who originally released the story to The Guardian newspaper in London upon which it soon went viral resulting in many thousands leaving the WT).
Simon I obviously remember (not least for the fact that he started up this forum), met him once at Mike Hooper's (Englishman) annual BBQ, not that we ever really saw eye to eye. Just one of those things.
Outlaw? Again if my memory serves me correctly it was him who originally released the secret elders manual online for the very first time. Bloody good on him. That was a big up yours to the borg.
Talesin I've occasionally kept in contact with over the years. Believe she's still in Nova Scotia. Not written her for a year or two.
Scully was a moderator here back in the day - I must have caused her no end of grief lol dear of her back then.
Mouthy? Awww that's a shame about her. She was always a gentle soul and had lots of wisdom and an open broad mind. A real sweetheart. I got along fantastic with her and she helped me very early on more than she will now ever know.
Uzzah aka Kismet. Celty grins broadly. Good to know you're still around. I hope life is treating you well.
So what has Celtic been up to all of these years beside taking far too many drugs? Well, that's a long story. I now live happily by myself (still lol) with my crazy Greek dog Elpi who I rescued from the side of the road near Turkey when I was down there in one of my old vans. Found her when she was smaller than the palm of my hand shivering in the ice and snow so scooped her up when she was no more than a few weeks old and hand fed her and drove her back eventually with me to west Cornwall in the UK. Friends forever now and my constant companion. Now curled up on my bed fast asleep waiting to be snuggled.
I was down in Greece volunteering on the refugee crisis. You may have heard of the infamous Moria refugee camp on the island of Lesvos. That was one of the camps I was volunteering in for quite a while. Also in another camp run by a bunch of hardcore German anarchists (No Border Kitchen Lesvos). I was also heavily involved with carrying out the refugee boat rescues on Lesvos. Also did quite a bit of volunteering on the Greek mainland. Drove the 2,000+ miles there and back twice and slept in my van to keep my running costs to a minimum.
Kind of miss the action to be honest. The interactions with the refugees, many of them war victims with truly horrendous stories to share, the regular riots between the Sunnis and the Shia Muslims. Dealing with the gypsies who were stealing everything in sight. The local mafias. The extreme far right members of Golden Dawn (fascist bastards), running one of the clothing distribution centres and a lot more besides -you name it I've been in the thick of the action.
Now back here in west Cornwall I'm self employed again buying and selling boats and outboard engines as well as doing all of my usual political campaigning.
It's been an adventurous life with plenty more life left in the old dog yet. Never did get my own home to live in I now live on the road in a large classic old box van with a rustic interior, wood burner inside, solar on the roof, keep my life simple and enjoy it to the max. Very rarely does JW shit even go through my mind anymore at all these days. Of course I still miss my family but that ain't my decision and no point getting upset about something I can do nowt about. Sod the JWs and all of their utter sheer BS and absolute bollocks. -

I know there are many more. Suffice to say I'm still alive and kicking. Getting old now. 52. Middle age. Still partying however lol. Still as cantankerous as ever too so don't even think about getting me going LOL..
Who else did I forget? What's happened to everyone? Where are they now? RefinersFire I know he kicked the bucket about 4 years ago. Is everyone else OK? Still alive and kicking? -

So, after all these years absent, whose still around then? Anyone?
Me? Yeah of course I'm fine. Living. Enjoying life. A survivor. With more than a few stories to tell. A lot has happened since I departed the entire exjw scene. And then some. Blimey.
