has anyone on this board ever experienced contact with demons?.
i have heard demons talked about for years, however i have never known anyone that has had any real experiences with them, i have only heard storys.. .
(some quotes).
Julien: How many videos of unexplained phenomena have you seen, yet quickly dismissed because it hasn't happened to you? You can't say that there hasn't been any footage caught on tape, because there has. Unfortunately, we did not own a camcorder at the time.
The couple that moved in after us, only stayed for about two months before they moved out too(I don't know why). The house has remained vacant for the last ten years. I believe that the current owners use it for storage.

how is a regular week as a jw?number of meetings and hours of service bible studys etc.?.
do they celebrate any holidays or have any holidays of their own?.
what jobs can a jw not be?.
Hi Law,
I'll go through an average week from my JW past.
Sunday Morning-- 10am-12:15pm at the Kingdom Hall. Public Talk and study of the Watchtower. (some meet for door to door service after the meeting)
Tues. night 7pm-8pm at either someone's house or the kingdom hall for a book study. (whatever WT book is assigned for the time)
Thur. night 7pm-9pm at kingdom hall for "ministry school and service meeting"
Many spend their days going door to door for many hours.
They do not celebrate any holidays.
They observe one day of year. The day of Jesus death.
Pretty much any job that would require you to carry a gun (police, military, armed security) is out.
Any political or military job is out.
Any job that would keep you from attending the meetings is seriously frowned upon.
for those of you who missed it, last night on 'south park' when thousands of people had died and were about to meet satan in hell, one of them asked "why am i here?
i was a faithfull protestant my entire life!
" the demon answered "oh i'm sorry, that was the wrong religion.

I was a faithfull protestant my entire life!" The demon answered "Oh I'm sorry, that was the wrong religion." Another person said "What about me? I was a devout Jehovah's Witness!!" "nope, sorry they were wrong too." They all asked who was the right one, and he said "I'm afraid that 'Mormon' was the correct answer...yes Mormons go to heaven". I about laughed my butt of. Jehovah's Witnesses were in hell.

I had decided to leave this thread alone. I've not spoken of these events in years. When I posted them here, I felt that I would be sharing my experiences with those may have gone through similar experiences.
It's funny how people always theorize an explaination. I usually don't even talk about things of this nature because of the belittling that usually follows. Or feeling that I have to prove it with some hard evidence.
Were my entire family under some "group" sleep disorder? No. Were my friends who refused to spend the night because they saw things under this same disorder? No.
SixofNine, please list the reference where you obtained the information that 99% of these experiences have been "bunk".
I guess you can see that this is a touchy subject with me. I am aware that a lot of these encounters end up being bunk, but untill you've actually experienced them yourself, the only basis for being a skeptic is that it hasn't happened to you personally.
Do light switches usually turn themselves on? Do ovens automaticly turn themselves onto the highest setting? Do inanimate objects usually get up and move on there own? Do families usually wake up in the middle of the night and run downstairs because they heard a woman screaming, only to find nothing? I would have to say no.
I don't believe that group sleep disorder explains it. I've never heard of everyone in a house having mass sleep paralysis.
I do not believe in God, nor do I believe in angels, demons or the Devil. I do believe that energy never just dies. All energy can change form. So what happens when we die? I have no idea, do you?
REM: A prosac explaination? Would you prescribe it to about 20 people and tell them it was all in there heads because YOU didn't see it?
Logical...you forgot the !!!
Teejay,
I agree that Fred should not be the focus of the board. No more than "where we go to die" or "Same Sex" should be the main focus. However, bigboi is a prime example of why I will continue to put my humor on this board.
He enjoyed your Martha Carter post as well as the Fred toons. I believe that most people here find delight in the fact that this board has a variety of topics. Humorous and serious. It breaks up the monotony.
Personally, I skipped the Martha Carter topic because it was too long for my attention span. However I'm sure it was quite infomative and an interesting read.
Not everyone's sense of humor is the same. I sugest to you that if you don't want to read about the "mental midget" (no offense to the little people out there), then skip any topic with "FRED" in the title.
My apologies to everyone. Maybe you guys could form a judicial commitee and disfellowship me for expressing my opinions. I've always been of the opinion that if you don't like it, don't read it. No one is forcing your finger to click on the topics that have "FRED" in the title
