the only people who want to be worshipped or adored by the world tend to be mad dictators and film star etc.its a quality i've always hated the desire to have strangers love you even though they don't know you personnally, and i tend not to like people who look up to celebrities etc who they don't know.. so why would a god want your worship?

Research into the "God spot" in the brain hopefully will eventually explain this tendency
I've read some interesting stuff on this before "Phantoms in the brain" by V.S.Ramachandran has a good chapter on it .He found that people with a certain type of epilepsy seemed to have a hightened sense of spiritual awareness and this was linked to an area in the temporal lobes.
Maybe some due todifferent Brain structure do have a desire for "spiritual" things.

If the original poster thought Jehovah didn't exist then it becomes quite absurd to consider whether a non-existent deity wants to be worshipped.
My arse.Of course I can consider what type of a God would desrire worship and why.I can consider what type of a human would stick a carrot to his head and jump out of a building shouting I am a penguin but he doesn't have to exist.

I havent got one, nor I suspect do most other people.
Maybe its a confusion of other factors that causes some to think they have it.
