Maybe there are other forms of life out there who even if distance was no object , we could never detect due to incompatability .
Maybe there are antimatter creatures or creatures too small too hot too cold or a number of other things.
If consciousness is just the sum of the atoms in our brain maybe other complex structures can become conscious as well.
Maybe we dont have the relvent senses or equipment to detect them, or dont know what to measure.
More thinking aloud.

I havent. What am I going to do with all my shirts ties and suits ? They were fliping expensive and I just bought a new suit not long before I left.
Perhaps I'll become a buisness man or something so they don't go to waste.

Evolution, Aliens ,Angels and Gods

i'd like to start by asking the question can you belive in evolution and not in the possibilty of alien life?.

I'd like to start by asking the question can you belive in evolution and not in the possibilty of Alien life?

Are then visits from creatures such as these the basis for stories of such things as Gods , Angels and Ghosts or do they come from ancient peoples lack of understanding the quirks of human conciusness and misinterperating everyday things such as dreams or hallucinations( well halucinations may be everyday for some people.).Or maybe both.
If nature can create life but the life created can then create new life would we be able to know whether that new life was created or came due to soley the laws of nature?
Just thinking aloud.
I'm interested in anyones opinion and any research you may have done on this.

Assemby Halls for Profit?

i've just come back from the weekend snooze (know to others as the circuit assembly hall in bristol).. the local congregations paid a fortune for the assembly hall to be built.

it was a major build with purchase of land and construction costing a fortune - and paid for by voluntary donations.

however our po has informed me that the circuit was charged 4,300 for the weekend assembly!

Hello Jim
I used to go to Bristol too and could never understand how it cost so much considering all work is done by volenteers.
This reminds me of a post I made some months ago when I went to the Paris international assembly.
Me and my wife stayed independent of the society but in one of the same hotels being used by them .
We paid 30 a night for the room we stayed 3 nights thats a total of 90 for two people.
Guess how much people paid from Britian for the same level of accomadation but for 6 nights through the society ?
600 pounds per person!
Several people told me this, some who couldn't go because of the cost.
So were does this money go?

so when you were a teenager and it was assembly time which convention did you go to, to go bird watching?.

there were always rumors of the magical convestion someware where all the girls were lookers and were eager to meet young brothers.. did you all go to the pub after , whats the biggest crowd you ever saw after the covention in a pub.. once there were over a hundred of us crowding the locals out.. got any stories

JW's and Chronic Fatigue Syndrone!

chronic fatigue syndrone, m e, yuppie flu.

i dont know if anyone else has noticed the alarming number of jws who claim to suffer from chronic fatigue syndrone,i mean hear in cornwall there tend to be several sufferers in every congregation,outside the jws out of the many people i know i dont know anyone,although there are obviosly many outside the jws who suffer this illness,percentage wise it seems that jws have a much,much larger occorance of the illness.. for example my brother in law has not worked and been living on invalidity benefits for more than 10 years since his mid twenties,his brother is also in the same boat, an m.e sufferer.. i wonder if anyone has looked into this a bit more?

I understand your noting that many witnesses seem to suffer from chronic fatigue .
But there seems to be a great amount of misunderstanding amongst most of the replies as to the nature of this and similair dieases.
I personnally have never suffered from any of these things but know very closely people who have.
I havent got time to post a full retort now as I am going out soon, but I'll ask some question's
Have you ever had chronic fatigue sydrone?
Do you understand fully the workings of the human mind and body?
Are you as doubtful of others who have visable syptoms of illness?

bibles is a map, and in the map is a drawing of a dinosaur.. does anyone know why the dinosaur is there?.
