Yes, "witnessing" use to mean: spoke to someone about your faith...the definition of witness is to observe something (like "yes officer I witnessed that guy piss on that car."). They take a lot of liberties with language.
I know others have mentioned it, but i just want to join in... oh dear gawd, how I HATE...

oh and that "missed youlast night/week" uggggh we all know it really means " oh and dont think we didntbnotice you missed a meeting and now have judged you as questionable association."
it's taken me about 7 years after leaving the watchtower, to become actively involved within the exjw communities.
as part of this i created a couple of videos to, hopefully, help some others.
but what amazed me was the number of people who have pm'd me via youtube who are still active members of the watchtower - who know it's not the truth - but haven't left.
totally agree with outlawabout black mail, with out df'ing 30-50% would just walk away.

s&r- yeah, ive heard of the probability. i was fascinated a couple years ago when i first heard so i tried it in 3 of my classes in college, but alas, no one ever shared the same birthday. (classes of 30)

i first met sheeba in the autumn of 1997. id been driving past the local countys animal shelter the dog pound for several years.
