excellent work! i read it compulsively. it captured the nuances of witness culture, that while we are in just think are mundane and/or harmless and showjust how disturbing it it really is.

so last night the wife is working, the kids are getting ready for bed and i'm watching futurama.
doorbell rings.
now it's dark, snowing and i live on a back road, so it's very odd to have a visitor.
i think the element of surprise is either because
A. you cant make up an excuse not to be home
or
B. they werent really planning on taking an interest in you but it CO visit and they made a last minute decision to stop on by.

i googled anonymous vs watchtower and every result (except a you tube video) was in an ex jw forum.
then
i went to anonnews and whyweprotest and theres nothing on this.
i really would like to see the wrath of anonymous on the WTS but im suspicious that this is a bogus video.
this is a must see for all ex-jws and those thinking of leaving.
watch for the subtle clues in the video.

i agree with jws, if youre just listening to the song, no video, just sounds like a break up song. even the words on the wall (except for "cult" and "no blood" ) could be about anything (or everything for that matter). it doesnt really seem to call out WTS.
but they are talented.

morning all.
if you have read my previous posts you will know of the final stage of my fade is complete, with no longer attending meetings anymore.
with that in mind, do you have any suggestions to how to handle those conversations raised by familiy and friends about leaving?.
there are no easy answers for this.
everyone wakes in their own time. when my dad died, i was 100% unwilling to doubt anything other than that which supported the ressurection doctrine, i clung to it for dear life.
in my deepest unspeakable despair, as i watched my mom slowly and painfully die, i thought "there can be no god". i never prayed again. after that i allowed myself to start questioning, but even then it was a process. its quicker for some than others. you just hsve to be patient with her.
i dont really know how best to handle these conversations, other than just be patient, slow, and loving.
