Actually, they are clapping so much to generate a nice breeze to cool everyone off during those f*ing hot conventions!!!

back in the uk, i remember that at the baptisms, the audience were told not to applaud until the last candidate had been dunked.
this, we were informed, gave the occassion a proper sense of dignity and decorum.
in general, clapping was restrained at assemblies.
Actually, they are clapping so much to generate a nice breeze to cool everyone off during those f*ing hot conventions!!!

i think i remember reading somewhere here about how some poor df'd sister's car broke down on the way home from a meeting once and none of the brothers would stop to help.
it made somebody ashamed, as well it should have!.
here's a twist: the son of the local p.o.
outnfree:
What was the difference between the three years? Why didn't they help during the surgery? I'm not clear.
Welcome. Grab a bucket of chicken and pull up a chair.

i talked to my jw friend today.
she and her husband were studied with by larry graham, in california, about 10 years ago, or more.
i asked if she knew anything about prince being a jw, and she said that their son went to visit the grahams in minnesota a year ago, and met prince at their home, and that he had been studying then, for about a year.
OMG!!! Now THAT is comedy!!

i'm not sure if this picture will work or not.
i scanned it from a little 31/2 x 5. .
anyway the picture was taken at the 1935 convention where rutherford created the new light about the other sheep.. my dad and mother are in the center, my aunt at my dads left, and my grandma at the end to the right of the picture.. i have forgotten where the convention was, anyone remember?.
Ceder Point and the Polo Grounds are all I can remember them bragging about all the time.

dont you know that there is no more important magazine on the earth today then the watchtower magazine?.
as we know it is in that very magazine jehovah makes his official notifications to mankind.
since jehovah apparently isnt at all interested in reaching all of mankind he isnt using tv or radio.
I triple the sentiment here. Norm, you make the Watchtower come alive for me in ways I never thought possible.
I think maybe you are the FDS?!?!?

i wonder what the percentage is of ex-jws who become involved in other organized religions.
i had a discussion with a psychiatrist friend recently.
he told me that i am a "psychiatric anamoly," that most "devout" people who leave a religion will join another and become as devout in their new religion.
Same for me Riz.
Religion is the opium of the people.

i would be very interested in any creationalists response to genesis 1:30 where the bible tells us that all animals wre originallly vegetarians.. why aren't they vegetarians now?
what about gnats who only live on blood?.
this to me brings up a lot of issues that can not be answered.
A couple people around here seem to consider YOU a vegetable, Fred.

i'm an observant person.
i became that way back in what i call the 'wallflower years' of my life, when i could very easily blend into the woodwork of any room i walked into without anyone looking up.
i became a student of human nature and watched how people interacted, and that study has come in handy at many points.. sometimes, though, i don't realize when i'm opening a can of worms.
Thanks sweetie!
Say, are you half as cute as your pic indicates?? hehehe
