What a weird ass note, God comes across like a dick. Gimme the problem and fuck off, and don't you dare think you got what it takes to solve it yourself. God the father indeed.

Jehovah provides guidance in the publications and in programs from the faithful slave!
by stumbledbyothers inthis past weeks watchtower study, reminds us that jehovah provides guidance in the publications and in programs from faithful slave!
now you hear from the platform that god has given us jw broadcasting and jw.org.
lets see: thought wt says they have no special connection to god, nor special knowledge, they get no extra holy spirit, gods thoughts higher than mans???

Truth_b_known, couldn't of said it better myself.
Submissive, huh? That's the crux of the whole thing, do what we say and don't think about it. We're telling you when you listen to us you listen to God, and that should be enough for you. Manipulative as hell.

'Every Witness kid you see has had to sacrifice,
All the little treats they love to service Tony' s vice
That's hysterical, I laughed so hard.

I don't know how to feel. On one hand, yeah, the Governing Body does cover up child sex abuse, people do die from refusing blood transfusions, and people do commit suicide when their family shuns them. That being said, at times the guy goes overboard. He said the Governing Body has covered up child sex abuse for 'centuries,' I get that it's an emotional moment and nerve-wracking but you got to get it right, like perfectly right if you're going to do something like that. I also don't like that he mixed legitimate criticism with religious criticism, like throwing in the whole Jesus says you should drink his blood, that makes him come across like another type of Christian instead of an activist. Although it was funny watching wine run down the attendance hand as he tried to take the cup away from him.
And Tenacious, I posted a thread about that recently.

The brother at the door
by days of future passed ini got up late today.
i hear the doorbell ring and i go - not really dressed for company - i stand back and see a jw man maybe 60 years old or so.
at first i was just going to brush him off.

Yeah, that's been true in my experience too. You say something they don't like and they sidetrack you, they never come back to your original point. If it's intentional, it's because they can't respond to your point and they don't want to admit it. They want to win.

Blondie, thanks for making me laugh this morning. That's exactly what audiences are.

Observed at the Memorial
by john.prestor inso i went to the memorial the other night, there's a kingdom hall on the bus route back from a local college where i was doing some research and admiring the architecture.
i'm in my street clothes, i look nice but i stood out like a sore thumb.
i went in as it started and got a seat in the back.

That makes sense, yeah, it's not like she consciously plotted in her head, it's just what she does but what she does comes down to seeing if I will obey.
Stan livedeath, I was never in.

That's rude. It's a ritual about acknowledging the inferiority they assign you.

Yeah it gave me a bad vibe, they make this big effort to invite the public and somebody walks in who looks like the public and they get all weird. I thought about saying something when I went to leave but I didn't know which attendance watched me and which didn't.
SeaBreeze, that fits with what I saw. It's like I heard the speaker quote the verse, why do I need to look at it on your tablet? What am I going to see on your tablet except the same words I just heard?

You never know. Sometimes you take the right approach by getting passionate, it makes you sound like you mean what you say.
