Once again....No wonder they wanted us(as hurt, confused, seemingly lonely advocates against WTBS pedophilia policy) to stay away from the internet.

Anointed Experience #3 - He Just Can't Be!
by Amazing inthe society literature has given mixed messages, but older literature tended to lay the basis closer to the bible that those 'anointed' are not chosen according to position, age, or experience, but according to god's will.
as the decades of the 40s and 50s passed, the subsequent decades brought in the view that those chosen to be 'anointed' would be chronologically older, many years as very active jws, likely serving in some position such as pioneer for sisters and elder for men.. the reason for the changed view: given that the society stated that the "general' call to heaven ended in 1935, then only a few replacements would be needed to fill vacancies by 'anointed' who died unfaithful to jehovah.
to the society it stood to reason that jehovah would only call 'mature' individuals with much experience as very faithful jws ... but ... they never made this a hard and fast rule, so at times, some jws would feel they wanted to go to heaven, and managed somehow to overcome the cultural fear of being different by making such a profession of faith.. nevertheless, as jws of the other sheep aged in the 1980s and 1990s, the view toward younger, newer 'anointed' became more and more jaundiced.

Amazing, Thanks for the honesty. I've known a few younger 'annointed'. Now don't get me wrong, but sometimes I think wanna-be and has-been 'annointed' ones need to work a good 4th, 5th, and 9th Step.

OUR LAWYER'S LETTER TO WATCHTOWER & THERE R...
by ARoarer inwhen an elder called us to "invite" us to the kh to meet with them to question us regarding accusations of apostasy, while another elder sneakily sat on another line as a "second witness", we, after not being active for several years, having no contact with anyone in the congregation, we felt their phone call was harrassing.
we called our lawyers who drew up a letter that say:.
watchtower bibel & tract society.

I was thinking.....
How many times have we all heard the quote ' most people are disfellowshipped for immorality' and how pure that makes the WTBS look. It will be interesting to hear their spin on it when the majority of us have been terminated for 'apostasy'. -

Why the hell do I have this pathetic life?
by Nicolas ini' so tired of this.
sometime, i'd just like to say goodbye cruel world but, it would be too easy to do this.
when i was in the borg, they were telling me that when someone go out of the org, he have a lot of problems and that's exactly what happen to me.

Hey Nicolas,
Like they say, 'don't give up before the miracle'. Reminds me about the story of the drunk that sobered up, and then felt God had cursed him for doing so because 'now' he was left-handed. Truth was, he was always left-handed, just didn't know it. -

Bill,
Peace to you. It certainly, at times, seems so unbelievable. Like... what's happened to these people???? -

6/1/02 WT - Genes, homosexuality and behavior
by Seeker4 inthe june 1, 2002 wt has an interesting discussion of whether genetics and our biology have any influence on "alcoholism, homosexuality, promiscuity, violence, other aberrant behavior and..." .
their conclusion?
essentially, they say no.

Excuse Me. Weren't they the ones telling us that we "inherited" imperfection from Adam and Eve? What is that if it's not genetics?Remember the old "dented bread pan" analogy? Every loaf will come out dented. I too just took Psych and did a lot of reading on nature vs. nurture. The conclusion? Usually both.
This thinking is so deadly for instance with alcoholics. Tell a brother he's not an alcoholic, it's not a disease, he can have a beer with the boys . . . he could be dead next year. There is much evidence that alcoholism is a family disease. My God, just read some books, or should I say "other books"! What about "Under the Influence" by Ketcham and Milam. Proves conclusively what alcohol does in the alcoholics body that it doesn't do in the non-alcoholic body.
They are continuing to kill people, discouraging them from looking at the real causes of their problems and from getting help.
Glad you're here. -

Anointed Experience #1 - Discerning the Body
by Amazing in"thichi" asked in my previous post about some of the 'anointed' experiences i alluded to, especially those that i mentioned that were somewhat painful.
here is one such event that i have relayed before in shorter comments:.
i was an elder at the time, visiting in pennsylvania on business.

could it mean that we should never forget that it was Jeahovah God that made all redemption possible by providing the ' body ' of Jesus to be sacrificed?

Gary,
Thanks for the post. Nothing like gettin' a little perspective. As with many of the other posts, I too, am attempting to see MY responsibitly for MY involvement with the WTBS. While working through this, a strange thing has happened. I no longer spend as much time demanding love, dignity, and validation from those, who for whatever reason, can't give it. Someone told me that people make sense. I don't have to agree with them or participate in unhealthy dymanics, but looking at them as sick children(no matter what their age), is presenting me with the oppurtunity to 'live and let live'. The hard part is practicing this with those whom I felt 'should have' loved me the most.
