Sunshine... Blondie had a good point. Although a great many of us would love to see an Oprah segment like that go down, it doesn't sound like you're in a very grounded space to act on it. So keep getting suggestions and be o.k. with whatever YOU decide.

Bill...on a certain level, I feel great sadness to see/hear how these ' spiritul men ' are acting. For so long, to me, they represented all of a loving God's qualities. So sad. Principles will always monitor all our conduct. Peace to you, you brave soul.

Dear Morrisamb, Ms. Morrisamb and Tucky,
This is Sloboys spouse responding.
My heart goes out to all of you. I have been mulling this whole issue over and over, thinking about the two stinkin' witness policy. It led me to this. . . when there is a murder there is a dead body as evidence. Where there is molestation there is a dead spirit. The change in the abused child is so blatant, so obvious, so heartbreaking that only the most callous, oblivous, religiously addicted individuals would not notice. The organization of JW's is full of these little children, walking wounded, and the organization and any in it who turn a blind eye to their suffering and refuse to stand up and protect them are oh so culpable. May all of you survivors sleep well tonight.
Much love.

Question for all Jw.com
by haujobbz ini dont know if you been asked this before but what made you give up your religious beliefs,i assume that not all on here were jehovahs witnesses so if you were not please say.well i will telll you why i left, i got baptised as a jw 2 yrs ago and then started to notice say 6 months after baptism that the followers didnt really heed the what they were being taught it didnt seem to motivate them in their hearts, to say display genuine love it was more like a routine to them to be at meetings, talk to same ones, read watchtowers,it seemed so mechanical like robots,im not saying this is what caused me leave because i was serving genuinely i was really interested in practising what i preached, but i found it hard because everyone wasnt trying to do the samething.so then gradually i started to question things and then i got the internet last year and was itching to look on these so called apostate sites, you see i wanted to prove these sites wrong but in the end i was proved wrong with things like prophecies, jws past history, etc.
so thats my story

I joined the JW's looking for the truth, and I left the JW's looking for the truth. I saw little truth in what they teach and how they act.

Bleep....perhaps you misunderstood me....I wasn't seeking relief from my condition to pursue greedy things. But, again, a typical JW response. Have you had a tooth fixed lately? or seen a doctor recently? why didn't you just wait for the new order? you see witnesses can incorporate all sorts of remedies in this system as long as the WBTS sanctions it, and they claim it's to better do 'God's will'. But try and improve your situation in a way they won't accept and automatically you have become a greedy person, one without faith. Your response once again demonstrates that mindset well. Oh, by the way, keep coming back.

Bleep.....It seems you take a familiar response to information like Bona provided. Just because a person calls to account JW beliefs doesn't mean they have shut their eyes to the problems/ challenges of living in this world. Yet one usually gets that from Witnesses. When I continued to seek and receive 'outside' help for a problem, I was told, by an elder, ' You can't expect to have a lah-lah life in this system '. Lah-lah life? I just wanted a bit of REPREIVE from a miserable condition. All and all, I too am familiar with the encompassing dynamic of fear. It will close our mind, heart, and soul, and will leave us intolerant of anybody or anything that might rock us out of denial...respectively, SloBoy

This is Sloboy's spouse responding to Brother Anderson's letter:
Dear Joe Anderson:
How heartening! Thank you! I am so sorry for the betrayal of Barbara by the Society. I am so glad you support her and see the inconsistencies in the so-called "policy on child molestation" of the organization. I have stood by friends assuring them that the elders would handle matters properly in molest cases only to have the wool ripped right from our 'lil lamby eyes! Policy? Please! It is more a case of who knows who, who's son or other relative did it, who's position needs to be protected, and how crazy or apostate can the victims and their supporters be made to look. I have known Jehovah's name for 40 plus years. I gave my youth, my heart, my assets and my stamina to the organization and to Jehovah. My God is still Jehovah, a God of love. I currently cannot have anything to do with an organization that does not "look out for widows and orphans in their tribulation." I have been quoting that scripture to elders, elders wives and many other friends for the last 5 years in the context of asking them to step up and do what is right and scriptural in behalf of molest victims and their families. The result? We were viewed as having a personality problem with the perpatrator and his family. I have been shunned and ostracized by the majority even though there has been no marking or disfellowshipping or disassociation of myself. It's a long and horrible story, as are many I have read here and heard first hand. I cannot do it justice in a short email and it drains my energy and spirit to rehash the betrayal by my brothers.
Again and finally, Thank you Joe and Barbara, the Pandelos, Erica, Heather and her Family, Bill Bowen and Sister Bowen. I pray so often for Jehovah to show me the way. I cannot imagine what would have happened to us if we had not found this website.
Much love. Sloboy's spouse.

Hardline on disfellowshipped ones
by eyeslice inonce again a hard line is being taken on shunning disfellowshipped and disassociated ones.
perhaps this is some sort of backlash against the recent adverse dateline publicity in the us, the forthcoming pananorama programme in the uk and problems with a number of influential ones leaving the organization.
the text below is from the august km insert and the meeting part is to be handled by a "well qualified" elder with the paragraphs being read by a "capable reader".

Paragraph 1 states this applies to both the disfellowshipped and the disassociated, and then Paragraph 5 speaks of these as those who' give themselves over to sin and has to be disfellowshipped '.I know it's been covered, but what a blatant literary mind screw. They always want to convey the idea that anyone who leaves that organization does so just to have sex with farm animals. I still hope that many thinking JW's will see the dishonesty in this twisting of words, and like an elder and his wife said to me, recently disassociated cuz it is a dangerous place, ' you are welcome anytime at our home '.

What One Elder Is Saying About Dateline
by silentlambs ini recieved this email today i thought you might find it interesting.. dear bill: i have a question for you.
at book study last week, the conductor said that dateline's web site apologized for their show on jehovah's witnesses pedophiles because they had learned that the people interviewed on the show were "not who they claimed to be.
" i tried to find dateline's web site to see what they said but i was unable to do so.

Yeah, right, elder integrity.....like the one at my book study two years ago who said ' and remember, Armeggedon is only a matter of weeks '. Fast forward to present...him asking me to 'fess up' to the details to some bizarre, fabricated accusation by Brother Mighty Unstable. They can say all the B.S. they want and when called to account it's the same old saw ' we're just imperfect men trying to help out'. Just another cumulative nail in the coffin.

LETTER READ TONIGHT
by biblexaminer inwell, the wts has directed all elders in canada to read a letter concerning the child abuse issue.
it is the same whitewash as read in the us a while back when dateline aired.
it seems that on the 'eve of destruction' (ie bbc and panorama) the wts has decided to read a letter that was obviously penned weeks ago.

Here's an example of the R& F's mindset re: abuse.......Sister A, whom I know well and whose husband recently disassociated (said he doesn't like what they teach and doesn't like how they act ), told me that Sister B ran into Brother Pedophile and Brother Father of the Victim chumming around at the District Convention. Brother Father of the Victim told Sister B that Sister A's husband dissed because ' he got involved with some apostate web site '.....sick people in that org. So regardless what the hierarchy do, you're dealing with a great number of people who have liked it that way, we're attracted to it, and will have a whole lot of personal work to do to accept any healthy changes.
