  Are Mormons "racist" towards black people?

  i really do not know much about the mormon religion so i don't want to say things that are not true.

  but mormons just give me a feeling of that they are "phoney" i just feel that in my bones.

  i don't want to stereotype people but i live in the same apartment building with 5 young mormon missionaries.

  I do know that black people were not allowed into the LDS religion originally, and then they changed that somewhere along the way becasuse, if for no other reason, it made them look like racist a**holes. They also originally had a strict NO caffiene rule, but that has since changed (probably about the same time one of their uber creepy prophets bought stock in Coca-Cola), now they are allowed to drink Coke and Pepsi but not coffee. Which makes no sense to me.

  A great read on the Mormon religion and their ever-changing belief system is Under the Banner of Heaven:A Story of Vilolent Faith, By John Krakauer.

  It's shocking what they do "in the name of God", but as far as I'm concerned I think all organized religions suffer this sickness.

  Mad Men is pretty amazing. I think the way everyone chain smokes and drinks cocktails all day long is hilarious!

  Glander....don't judge. It's the intensity more than the looks. That's what I find attractive.

  Female crushes do not include Laura Dern or Juliette Lewis.

  Charlize Theron (anything except her Monster role...blech!) is my full on female crush.

  I forgot to include Jon Stewart in List o' Crushes. He makes me laugh every night before I got to bed.

  I've seen that before. Not with my own mum but definitely in the homes of others. My mom was pretty much constantly out of her head controlling. Despite my rants, I really am not angry at her anymore. That anger sucked up too many years already. I feel sad for her because she seems so miserable and for what? Not even for a small slice of reprieve-just misery.

  Sometimes I wish she'd get struck with amnesia so she would have a chance at life but I don't think that's likely to happen.

  Anyway, 'nough of that sadness!

  I have a very good life and the whole world at my feet! Plus, it's almost snow time in SLC so soon, I shall be strapping my board to my feet and riding down the side of these beautiful Wasatch mountains!
