the watchtower is so short of money because they have to pay for all the upkeep of so many branch offices around the world.because so many of the branch offices are in very poor countries and they are not balancing the budgets.

The congregation that I was in worked really hard to get a new kingdom hall and ended up with a surplus of £35,000 which they wanted to keep for repairs, maintenance etc.

After the circuit overseer visited they received a letter informing them that they needed to send it to Bethel. The congregation was allowed to keep about £2000 and the rest was sent away.

it was put to public vote on the Thursday night and although there were some grumblings and people feeling genuinely ripped off, the vote was unnanimous and the money was transferred.

It was THEIR hard earned and donated money for their own hall but of course it went supposedly to Africa to build KH's there (Did it get there or not, I don't know).

i was just browsing the russian jw site and saw this image that appears to represent christian persecution by showing handcuffs in front of prison bars that appear to form a cross.

which would be weird because they don't even believe in the cross, or maybe it was clip art from another source and they didn't notice.

or last and most likely i'm seeing things that aren't there 😜.

There are so many other serious REAL issues with the JW's to be concerned about without getting consumed with conspiracy theories like this.

We don't want to look as nutty as the JW's are by analysing every little word or image.

Concentrate on the BIG issues....promotion of shunning, splitting families up, cult mind control, hiding abuse, preventing further education, extraction of money and resources from members, and constantly changing the goalposts regarding armmagedon etc.

Next people will be analysing any pictures of the sky in WT publications and making shapes out of clouds.

i was thinking about how paul was able to hijack jesus message.

he never met jesus (claimed an encounter after jesus death that affected his eyesight) .

he was a persecutor of jesus followers.

Anybody who makes their name in religion are generally insane, egotistical, charismatic and make themselves and their message attractive to a whole load of brainwashed followers who are desperate to believe in something and be led.

I don't pray and don't believe in God anymore so to say that they were in my prayers would be worthless.

I tell them that they are constantly in my thoughts and follow up regularly with a phone call or visit if they need one.

I am not going to get into the debates but I am well aware of the English Defence League and the agenda of a lot of the folllowers.

The media perpertuate the problem by not allowing them to have any dialogue which creates a breeding ground of fear and racism amongst some members instead of allowing people to talk about issues and allaying peoples fears and misconceptions.

WT Conspiracy Theory - Pinky Ring - DUMB, I know

oh man, i know i'm gonna catch flack for this.. everyone sees masonic conspiracies everywhere.. i am not a conspiracy theorist.

i don't honestly believe the governing body are freemasons.. yet, probably due to cruising this site and seeing all the masonic conspiracy threads, i saw this when looking for a shot of lett's pinky ring to show how he wore one in october, but then took it off in may to ask for money.. .

original is on the left, and on the right, i played with the brightness/contrast to get it to show up a little better.. what does the pattern on his ring look like to you?.

I was an elder and Bethelite and knew lots of Circuit and District Overseers (as was) and there wasn't even a whisper of such a thing.

I don't understand the point of this thread. Are we now saying that the Borg is now run by the Masons?

Why not say that the Pope is also in on it as well and it is all the same organisation just with different names.
