That video was nauseating. A bit of sick actually popped up in my mouth.

Never in my wildest dream would I ever see one of those dog gone carts
by Tameria2001 ini moved to where i'm currently living for 10 years now.
once in a while, i would have jws come to my door and every single time either i or my husband would send them on their merry way, although my husband is quite rude about it.
i'm not sure when the cart witnessing (or whatever it is called) started up, but the only time i ever heard about it was on the internet, or someone here talking about it.

To me, it shows that they (the ones on the cart) really don't believe armageddon is coming any time soon.
If they truly believed it how could they just stand there passively knowing that nearly all of the people walking passed them are going to be killed within the foreseeable future. Surely they should be trying harder and not hiding behind a cart looking at their phones or drinking coffee.
At best is shows a complacence and at worst it is sheer arrogance and shows that they absolutely do not care about people at all.
IF this is supposed to be Gods way of warning people that he is going to bring destruction on the planet, it is a despicable, lazy way of doing it.
"Jehovah' is no better. He would know (if he was real) that people are more cynical than ever and already have information overload. Does he REALLY think that people invisiblly hiding behind a cart is the most effective way of saving lives?
They make me sick with their piousness.

I can't watch these.
Although I dismiss it all, the same old 'what if they are right?" feelings sneak in after I hear their scaremongering. It churns up the same panic and fear as I used to feel.
That is what being five decades as a JW does to you before you finally escape.

JW jailed for £8million investment fraud - UK
by OrphanCrow inhttp://m.thenorthernecho.co.uk/news/14276665.victims__brainwashed__in___8m_investment_scam/he told investors that his status as a jehovah’s witness meant he was unable to break the law, in an effort to win their trust.. teesside crown court heard how many of the 350 victims were elderly and had been deliberately targeted.some had since died with the stress of the county durham-based fraud having contributed to their ill health, and others had lost homes and life savings.a third man the crown said was involved, anthony kemp, is currently serving a prison sentence in new zealand for a separate but similar fraud, but is expected to be extradited back to the uk to stand trial when he is released.. .

Kemp (Tony) was always dodgy.
Neighbours used to report him for working on his car and doing other manual jobs while claiming thousands on benefits for years.
He used to arrive at the KH wearing a neck collar and in a wheelchair or with crutches but then would be sailing or mountaineering on the weekend.
He eventually abandoned his family. Went away for a 'few days' and never came back. They did not have a clue where he was and his wife and son (who was a bit autistic) had to live in a travellodge for months with no money or food (no practical help from congregation of course!!!)
Young Wheeler....He used to run a sun bed business. There were rumours about him but nothing concrete. He was always on the fringe...never quite fully in or committed to Witnesses.
I used to hate it when people used to use the "I am a JW and could never commit a crime" when they got caught. But now I think it is funny. A local postman used the same excuse when they found hundred of opened birthday cards in his locker (he had been opening them and stealing the money inside).

What was the last thing you said to your jw family?
by caves in7 years ago i had my last conversation with the toxic jw that mostly raised me.
every conversation was toxic for my entire adult life with her.
the last time we spoke was right before the memorial 7 years ago and she was laying on the usual heavy guilt and fear mongering about how jeho counts his people at the memorial.

I left my elderly mother crying and begging that "I return to Jehovah" because Armageddon is so real to her and she honestly thinks I am going to die. It was heartbreaking and pathetic (in the truest sense of the word) at the same time.
I never got a chance to have any last words with my wife or children. They refused to answer any phone calls or messages.
As a born-in I walked away without a single friend in the world and was scared witless at what was going to become of me.
I now have made new fiends ...kinder, genuine friends that are much better than than the ones 'in the truth' and they are all given strict instructions never ever to inform any of my blood JW members if anything happens to me. They have lost the right to know anything about me now.

"I'm sure in the end we all really what the same thing don't we? "
Absolutely Keith.
Like I said in my earlier post, I admire, your determination and dedication (I meant it sincerely).
I hadn't read your other excepts, and so I did as others suggested and did some research, and saw what you are doing. I can see why so many people respect your work. It was just THIS thread of naming names that I didn't feel comfortable with.
I wish you a lot of success with your book and hope it makes a difference to peoples lives and exposes the JW religion for what it is.

Some of these as well as being funny are very poignant.
The Noah and the cart one is so powerful.
The JW's believe that we are all going to die and THEIR way of spreading the 'life-saving' message is with a cart....no urgency, no compassion, no fear for our welfare. Just hour counting to put on a report.
They don't believe it any more than we do.

"The book will talk about why and how two people killed themselves. People that I hold myself partly responsible for there actions.
So don't worry guys there wouldn't be hundreds of random names listed."Glad to hear it.
"I said this book would rile a lot of people up. I hasn't even been published yet and it looks like it has already accomplished that."
Not for the reasons you think.
Good luck with it. I admire your dedication and determination.
PS. I laughed at your "what is your name?" joke lol

"And he can look from the outside and see what was going on in peoples lives right before they killed themselves and draw reasonable inferences, if thats your standard."
Except he can't as he asking for names of people that he doesn't know and wants to name them regardless of family wishes. He has NO idea what they were going through if he doesn't known them.
Again, his intent, as expressed right the way through this thread is to bring the organisation down.
If he achieves that, I will eat humble pie and literally bow down at his feet to thank him.
PS. Newboy has since acknowledged he won't put random names in the book. Good move.

"As for his motives, you cant speak to that anymore than he can speak to someones reasons for taking their own life."
Morpheus, I don't have time to cut and paste all the angry "this book is going to destroy and bring down the organisation and the people in it" type posts, but basically it is in virtually every single one of his posts in THIS thread about the book.
So yes, I can see his motives. They are VERY clear. HE has made himself very clear,
Naming people, alive or dead, without their permission is morally wrong. I'd be interested in seeing what he does with the book without those names.
His book doesn't look into any of the history of why these people might have killed themselves. I am sure the Borg contributed to it, but there could be all sorts of other contributing factors to it (bipolar etc)
If he can write a well-balanced, non-emotive book based on facts and real journalism then I will be interested and will applaud it, but none of his posts on this thread indicate that.
Ps. Sparkys dedication is a good one
