Hey Rebel: At the risk of sounding adversarial, which I don't mean to be, perhaps Pete Townsend is not a person you would want to emulate. I'm a huge fan of The Who, but dude, come on, Pete Townsend???? UH, dare I mention he was busted for thousands of child porn videos on the 'hidden web'. Give Rodger Daltrey his props for his singing and performance.

Has anyone heard of edibles????? You don't have to inhale smoke..., you can eat a bit of a cookie, or whatever they have. I personally don't like mj for me. I've tried it maybe 3 times and it made me tired and paranoid. But if it works for others legitamitely (sp?), STOP JUDGING!!!! How about all the others that are having cocktail parties, wine tasting trips, etc. Alcohol is so much worse. How about rx drugs? How many people die from those? Get over your judgemental attitude toward an herb Jehovah created. Its the abuse of it is where the problem lies.

So much to say..... but I suppress it. It just brings so much alive within me that I've tried to keep dead within me. 'Wordly' friends don't get it, it defies logic of love. It's such a weird mind control that they have.
it's been braught out in other places before that the band audiomachine' song eternal flame was used in the last video of the convention this year.
but do you know that the band has several albums and in these albums are songs with titles that could easily be construed as satanic or pagan!
some of these song titles are: hells battalion, legions of doom, tree of life, god of lankhmar, and the heavens shall tremble.
How about a Megadeth song? Dave Mustaine, lead singer back in the day when they were still around, was raised a Jehovah's Witness. He knows all about it. Apparently he has family that are still in the org. I suggest 'Symphony of Destruction' with all the noise about the Great Tribulation and Armageddon coming any day.

Wow, I just had a conversation with a fully sleeved and covered tatted back and chest today at the grocery store. I was told, when a JW, to not have any of my tats showing at the KH or in service because it brings reproach. So I wore boots to cover my ankle tats, and other covered up clothing. Then went through the extremely painful and expensive process of having them removed via laser. I wish I would've had the guts to tell those elders to F off, and kept them. Theres tons of JWs with visible tats that don't get harassed by elders.

after going through my teenage years trying to be the perfect jw, i realized that trying to live up to the standards imposed on me have been for worse & not for better.
i was feeling miserable, repressed, unfulfilled, with a great lack of self confidence & self esteem.
JW women have been treated horrifically by elders minimizing spousal abuse within the cult
Thank you. I went through a lot of verbal and physical abuse from my JW husband. So did our children. I'm crying right now because of all things I witnessed that he did to our sons. Punching them, throwing them against the walls. holding them down in a choke hold with his knee in their backs, using the most vile language you would ever hear. Its disgusting! Yes, I did talk to the elders on several occasions about it, and they would talk to him separately, and he managed to lie his way through it.
a currently active jdub acquaintance occasionally stops by to say hello and we share a wee dram or two.
after the general small talk of new cars, exotic vacations and sports we often get into the "why" we are xjubs.
he is a well educated publisher who holds a phd in child psychology.

Do you suggest we all go back to school and learn some ancient calendar for no reason? Maybe, if you're in the US, learn the metric system for no reason? Or perhaps, go back to school and learn geometry and calculus for something you will never use in your adult life?
