Additionally, asking for your congregation may seem like an invasion of privacy, but actually it's a scare tactic to make you tell the truth. They wouldn't contact the elders if one of their members did something bad on site, otherwise the elders would turn round and ask questions about the forum and send a letter about the caller to the Branch. They'd be done for.

Crazy statements from JWTalk
by Jehovah lol ini'm sure many of you are aware of the jwtalk site, a message board which has yet to succumb to apostasy (give it time).. some of the forums there are visible to the public, and i've seen some crazy stuff.
here is a sampling:.
"satan is really trying his best to make things worst for the witnesses, knowing the 6,000 years is almost up, from eve's creation!".

All I can say is, all the admins on that forum are plain sh**. They even have a part on comfort, consolation and recovery that is only available for ADVANCED MEMBERS. So basically, if you need emotional support, you must be good and keep commenting nice things for months on end before you're promoted.
I signed up for a laugh and asked what the organization's view of dreamcatchers was. I pretended to have a strong jw viewpoint, giving plenty of sources to back up that it was connected with demonism. Guess what? They treated it as a conscience matter, played elder by ignoring clear evidence that they would use to ban such a thing from their congregation if they were me... it was nonsense. Basically, the site is only there for leaks. That's what most jws on there are there for.

Whole families leaving the Org has increased
by pomo6780 ini have noticed in the uk a few families i used to know while in the borg have exited together.
some include former elders and ministerial servants.
i observed on social media pages that the kids have 'worldly' boyfriends and girlfriends and they look so much happier than they did in the org.

steve2,
I avoided specifics for reason of preventing compromising privacy. But I will say I have witnessed at least 5 families leave within the last 2 years.

Stan Livedeath,
No, although I have exited for a while, I can't reveal the areas for reasons of lurking still in family or old friends.

steve2,
Thank you. The best approach for lurkers is bringing all the facts together in a non judgmental way. I've seen some speculation about things Rutherford did, which I've avoided mentioning as I currently have no sufficient evidence.

I observed on social media pages that the kids have 'worldly' boyfriends and girlfriends and they look so much happier than they did in the Org. In fact, they look healthier and more vibrant. I think the main reason for leaving is that the kids have introduced their parents to their friends not in the org and the parents wake up after seeing the world isn't bad after all. I'm really happy for them that they have escaped this cult!
Have you seen whole families leave? If so, for what reasons?

The Seven Trumpets
by Jehovah lol inis it still watchtower dogma that the seven trumpets of revelation refer to seven conventions in the 1920s?
would many jws these days even be aware of this?
i find it so amusing that seven little conventions in the distant past, almost a century ago, could be equated with such an iconic biblical passage.

My guess is this very soon. New light:
"The 7 trumpet blasts no longer represent the declarations from the 7 conventions. They are 7 angelic commands. Which commands? Brothers, what do the angels do? What have they done and what will they do? (After a long 2 part Watchtower on what angels have done from year dot to the future, here are the revised understandings.)
The trumpet blasts began at the beginning of the Last days and will end after the Millennium.
1- The first 4 angels that blew their trumpets represents the announcement of annihilation during the Great War that began in 1914
2- The fifth angel that blew his trumpet represents the announcement of the army of Witnesses during the dark days of World War 2. (Not a porn scene, with use of the word shaft and abyss)
3- The sixth trumpet blasts represents the angelic command to begin the Great Tribulation, to torment God's enemies with a judgment message until their ultimate destruction at Armageddon.
4 - The seventh and final trumpet blast is the declaration that God's Kingdom is here to stay. What follows is Armageddon, the resurrection and the Millennium.
If you were scared rereading the verses according to those understandings, believe me, that is most certainly something jws would be willing to accept. I think there's going to be a watered down version of the Revelation Climax book very soon. Since they're devoting a whole year to studying the gospels, that's giving them enough time to prepare a new book for reference once they touch on Revelation again in a year or two at their midweek meeting. See if what I say is correct.

“...in the name of our Lord Jesus” explanation please?
by Jules Saturn ini am looking for someone to please clear this up.
there are scriptures like in the 1 corinthians chapter 5 that refer to jesus as “our lord jesus”.
the lord is jehovah, why does that scripture in 1 corinthians refer to the lord as jesus?

People trying to explain the Trinity using the Bible are using the same cult methods as when jws use the Bible to explain the Paradise. Both teachings don't exist there, they're what I call cultural interpretations. If you aren't jw, you believe a range of variations of the trinity doctrine. As an example: Catholics say that The Son is not The Father, The Father is not The Son... etc. But the Father is God, the Son is God and the Holy Spirit is God. Yet there are not 3 gods but one God." A variation is this: The Son is not the same as the Father, etc etc. But the Son is God, The Father is God... they are all divine. There have been more interpretations I've heard. Even as an exjw I've challenged Trinitarians by asking them why they hold on to a teaching that was publicly recognised as a Christian doctrine by a Romans Emperor during a political meeting when thereafter those who refused to believe it were executed? I've messed with a few minds and have made atheists out of a few Trinitarians. I managed to disband a small evangelical group by telling them why they are a cult, just like jws.
That being said, I can't be bothered trying to explain something that isn't real.
