i was widowed at a young age..... not only do the jws cover up pedophiles the no blood law also hurts so many lives so sad :( :( :(.

i hate doing this type of thread.

none of us are perfect, least of all myself, and i would rather focus any criticism on the watch tower society for damaging people's lives.

however, in the short period since i've been a member of this forum i've noticed one member in particular deteriorate in his behaviour into the type of individual who threatens to undermine the credibility of the entire website.

WTF have been and over this I am NOT Rick I provided the links to when I was interviewed on the Conference Call and I even offered anyone who doubts give me your phone # I will call you prove I am not Rick. I told you before RIck will come on here with his real name he wont hide cyber space like so many including myself. yet people who hide behind a fake name will smear someone elses character without having the guts to say who they are.... i'm sure you're all familiar with the quip, "with friends like that, who needs enemies!

a recent thread got me thinking about how this easily applies to the organization in general and to many of the elders in particular.

now i know, there are some few good elders out there (god knows i tried to be one).

I experienced some crazy stuff with the Elders when my wife passed away... Her family was not JW neither was she. We decided to have the wake and funeral at the funeral home. The Pastor from a Baptist church up north who had married me and my wife gave the Funeral talk. Well an Elder from the KH that I grew up in decided that he needed to attend the Funeral I dont remember his exact words.. however I do remember being a complete mess and he is sitting there trying to talk to me about how my wife had showed some interest in the JWs and that she would be back in the ressurection ect. well a couple days later the same elder along with another elder from the same KH decided to pay me a visit telling me that if I would come and meet with the Elders to discuss my misconduct and was repentant for my sins (Marrrying a non- witness, etc.....) that I would be able to see her in the new system. They had the nerve to suggest that I had not done what my wife would have wanted that I should have another funeral for her at the Local KH ( why so I can relive that day one more time) It was like they were trying to emotionally black meal me in to coming to sit with the judicial comittee. They thought my wife was showing interest in the JWs the only reason they thought this was because i had asked my wife to be kind to my Mother when she would preach to her so as to not cause any drama in my family due to the fact that my mom is one of the most faithful (or brainwashed) JWs i have ever known.

I cant stop thinking about this story. I also noticed an update http://4jehovah.org/images/stories/downloads/jwstories/exjw-nancy-newspost.pdf about 10 years after this all happened. She talks about how the autopsy came back that her husband died due to organ failure from a lack of oxygen. Oxygen that would have been provided if her husband had had a blood transfussion. She also talks about how the JWs were there at the hospital the whole time helping push the issue of NO blood. How many other people have died due to this barbaric belief. I dunno for some reason I really feel the pain of the family in this story... :(
