  Why would he tell her to stop?

  A desire not to be a horrible person? A smidgen of self-control? A determination to clear the lowest rung of human decency? A sense of self-preservation, at the very least?

  A 14-year old girl who is that sexually promiscuous is likely dealing with some emotional and/or psychological issues and needs someone to help her develop self-esteem and a sense of her own value as a person. Being treated as a sex toy by an older man is child abuse.

  We might also expect that a person who behaves in this manner -and who excuses it by insisting that he is unable to control himself- shouldn't then launch a website and video channel where he spends an inordinate amount of time playing the role of a moral scold. Because, one day, the whole rotten structure might come tumbling down on his head.

  I think that line C is actually showing 1,451,217,000. Was this after they had sold off all/most of the Brooklyn properties? That's quite a nest egg. And since they're a 501(c) corporation, they enjoy some tax breaks as well.

  I'm curious how they're doing now. They have been asking the membership to dig deep into its collective pockets for "donations to the worldwide preaching work." And they also launched an ambitious development project, because after god wipes out 99.99% of the human population, there will be lots of extra bandwidth for video downloads! I wonder why the holy spirit wouldn't guide them so that they make the right investment picks and never have to beg for donations again...

  It's the Sunk Cost fallacy: once you have invested so much into a belief, it can be very difficult to let it go, since that means you wasted a lot of time and energy that you won't get back.

  I'm old enough to remember when the UN declared 1986 the year of peace and security, and the WT making note of it. But after enough time, you get used to the WT pointing out yet another sign that the end is very close. But not that close, God is patient and wants all to be saved! But still, it's really close. Just not quite yet. But honest, it's super close, it's almost here! But not yet. But almost. But...

  a recurring theme in this loyd deal is the we're all imperfect-----------excuse!.

  the "we're all imperfect" phrase, is an over used watchtower membership cliche, embedded in the minds of jws and anyone that leaves.

  in the real world, there is no such thing as "we are all imperfect".

  "I can't control my pee-pee" is the same justification that rapists and pedos use. I don't think it's valid.

  Even worse, he is saying "I can't control myself... and neither can any of you!" As if to imply that his behavior is defensible, if not normal or expected.

  And to that, I say "nope! Lots of men demonstrate sufficient control of their members so as to avoid disgracing themselves and their families. Your lack of control is not the rule, it's the exception."

  They do like to come up with details that have no basis. I guess it is to reinforce the idea that they have a unique and direct pipeline to god via the holy spirit.

  That said, I could think of a few areas of improvement, were I to be bodily reconstructed and brought back to life. So I'm good with being reasonably similar. :D
