That paragraph from the September 1989 Watchtower is a good example of how they operate. Only those they list have any "scriptural" hope of surviving Armageddon. Yet neither of the scriptures they provide say any such thing. You would need a very long and very intricate interpretation and explanation to even link those two scriptures together, much less explain how they refer to Armageddon, or how they refer to JWs specifically.

Atheism has become a political movement for many atheists in the USA. And at the fringes, people treat politics like religion. So the more fervent atheists are, in a sense, acting like they are religious.

He wants focus attention on her credentials and away from his moral failings and legal shenanigans. He might also think he can use the information against her. I think he wants to make it seem that there is something suspicious going on, in the hopes of undermining anything she says. Since his first step was to admit that everything she said was true, it's not a particularly effective approach.

Hasn't Twitter been losing money? And that $44 billion valuation is hilariously inflated. Musk needs Twitter to generate income because he overpaid for it and is looking at a massive loss if he can't stabilize it.
Not sure why Evans cares, aside from virtue signaling. He wasn't a blue-check before. Now he can rent a blue-check. Isn't he the same guy who nickel-and-dimes people all the time? $150 to get your story in his book is fine, but $8 for a totally-unnecessary checkmark icon next to his Twitter handle is a problem?

He's correct, though. More patrons still support him than were lost to a "defamation campaign."
On the other hand, more than half of his patrons have left because he's an unapologetic adulterer and unrepentant prostitution supporter who only knows how to lash out at anyone who doesn't kiss his feet.
He's also correct that numbers do not attest to whether or not his detractors are right or not.
On the other hand, numbers attest to the disgust that many of his patrons felt when they learned about his behavior, because they cannot respect someone who doesn't realize how bad of a husband and father he has been.
It's the Lloyd experience in a nutshell. What he says is true, but also irrelevant and missing the point. And he seems to think that it's okay, because he got to make a snarky comeback to someone on social media. To say that his priorities are not in order is an understatement.

Wow, that opening part of the convention sounds like a parody but is the actual instructions to visitors. Sit down before the music starts, and shut up and listen while it plays. You don't need to change the words or the intent to make it sound bad!

Newton wrote (per Ancient Code) that A.D. 800 (the year Charlemagne created the Holy Roman Empire) would be a perfect year to begin counting from. Using 1,260 years gives us an end date of, yes, 2060.

I think that is born of the hope that everyone will get along. But the problem is that it protects people like Evans, who mistreats others and expects his bad behavior to be excused because he's 'too important to the cause.' It is necessary to realize that when an 'important' person misbehaves, he is actually hurting the cause.

That was my impression as well. After the initial video, Andrew Gold unmasked him and interviewed Dr. Das, but he also interviewed Kim Silvio, over Lloyd's fervent objections. But Evans never filed charges against Gold or Das, even though their words are easily accessible to anyone with an internet connection and web browser.
I think he realizes that he's a big fish in a very small pond. Bullying fellow exJWs is one thing, but he has had trouble controlling the narrative even with them. Moving up a few ranks would have put him in a situation where he was getting a lot more attention (most of it negative) and where he would be badly outgunned in terms of the ability to reach people with a message.

Missing Monthly Broadcast - May 2015

the broadcast was presented by lett who mentions he had the backing of the other gb members regarding his comments.. the broadcast is basically about soliciting jws for funds as well as other 'valuable things' for the organisation.
this is the one where he claims that the money flowing out was more than the money flowing in.

Bummer, that video was useful in showing how duplicitous they are. Lett was basically saying 'we never solicit donations, and if you give generously right now, we won't have to start.' Weasel words, so that they can say that they did not specifically ask for money, even though it was pretty clear what the message was.
But it's also funny if they have permanently removed it, since that makes me think it has not aged well and is something of an embarrassment for them. Or maybe it's the opposite, and they want to upload a new one where they ask for donations while insisting that they are not. You would not want too many of those videos in your library...
