That looks like a boilerplate site template. He probably should not have posted the link until he had updated the site with his content...

1290 JW Congregations have been deleted since 4th Dec 2022
by ComingOutaMyCage inhttps://i.redd.it/hd9p1g3ssr2b1.jpg.
1290 jw congregations have been deleted since 4th dec 2022. i have a full map so you can explore active/deleted congs, and also orphaned halls https://analytics.jws-library.one/viewmap.html.
many of the deletions in the usa appear to be foreign language groups.

LV101: What is an "Orphaned Hall?"
I assume it means a KH that has no active congregations that meet there. In which case, it probably will be sold.

Since he considers the donations his salary, I don't think he gets to "do [his] work in [his] own time." A boss can't tell you what to spend your salary on, but he can set expectations and demand results. Otherwise, it sounds like Evans wants to have it both ways. Again, to his patrons: this is what you're paying for.

The thing is, it doesn't matter if he reads it or not, and it doesn't matter how he feels about this thread. It isn't for him.
It's for anyone who wants to know what he is really like. I bet he gives a shit about that.

American Healthcare: How your system works
by Diogenesister incanada has universal healthcare.
the consensus is that america never will.
can anyone explain why, please?

LUHE: There is no consensus among US citizens for change re health care that's free at the point of delivery.
There's no perfect system for funding healthcare, and in the US it is a highly-politicized issue. So you have people who can point out the issues with our current system and people who can point out the issues with any proposed systems. And they aren't honest when they're defending their preference, since it invites biased and hypocritical criticism and the discussion devolves into a shouting match.
One issue, as I see it, is that the current system is a Frankenstein's monster of supposed free-market systems that are regulated by government. It's not really possible to go fully in one direction or another, so we end up with a system designed by greedy insurers on one side, and incompetent politicians on the other, and frequently managed by clueless HR departments instead of the individuals and families that need it. No surprise- it's a confusing mess.
I'd rather we had taxpayer-subsidized preventive and basic care available to everyone, with insurance available for the less-common circumstances that often require massive financing. If we can offer life insurance at a small premium, we should be able to do that same for people who need extensive hospital stays, emergency services (surgery, etc), and long-term recovery care. It's still not a perfect system, and it doesn't fit neatly in any one political party's platform, so it won't ever happen.

LMsA: I don’t think he wants to do anything other than the bare minimum to keep the channel going.
I agree. Actually, I doubt he even wants to do that, but there aren't any good options available. Expect this to become a regular theme, where he tries to keep the pressure on his supporters by implying that he can't produce content without "hundreds" of people paying him thousands of dollars a month. Now I'm curious to see how long he can ride that particular grift before it fizzles out and people start to wonder why he is making more videos about not making videos than he is about anything else.

What`s the reason some of you think JW`s are in decline ?
by smiddy3 infrom what i can see no such thing is happening.i became a jw in 1960 and remained for about 30 years and the numbers of active jw`s today in the world are far greater than they were back then.. and here in australia the numbers are much higher than they were back then .. so i don`t see that their in decline or have any worries about losing support .. don`t the numbers speak for themselves ?.
is it just wishful thinking on your part ?.

I agree with nicolaou, they appear to be relaxing a lot of policies in order to keep the numbers from slipping. It's not the same religion I grew up and spent 40+ years in. But that's also not new- the WTS has changed many times over the past 100+ years, and while some of those changes were disastrous (the 1920s are a good example), they have read the winds pretty well overall and kept it together. The big threat now is that 1914 continues to fade into the past and at some point they will need to drop it or refute it, if they can find something to replace it with.

Does the Governing Body already know that Jehovah (the name) came from Babylon the Great?
by Chevelle ini'll start by stating the obvious... according to the watchtower, the catholic church is a huge part of babylon the great which is led by satan and his demons.
raymundus martini, a catholic monk (who "represents" babylon the great to some extent), woke up one day in the 13th century and decided to alter yhwh so it can be easily pronounced.
hence the spanish-ish version of yhwh was created... jehova... (sounds something like this in spanish: heh-o-va).

This is also something that happens with a lot of names, even today. Take a common name like John. It is spelled and pronounced differently in Spanish than in English, and I assume it is also spelled/pronounced differently in many other languages. If the spelling and pronounciation of his name was that important, god could have taken care of that when he invented all of those languages at the tower of Babel.

The two-witness rule is supposed to apply to deliberations and actions taken by elders regarding accusations of wrongdoing and investigations of 'sinful behavior.' That should not stop anyone from contacting the police if there is an accusation of a crime, especially something as important as child abuse. It should not stop elders from encouraging the rank and file to report a crime to the police, regardless of whether the elders can or cannot get involved. The idea that the police should not be contacted unless there are two witnesses to a crime makes no sense. It is not a legal requirement. It is not a typical behavior in a community.

Link between relationships and health/happiness
by ExBethelitenowPIMA ineven though i’m agnostic so will not commit to either intelligent design or chance, i love being part of the congregation for the close personal relationships.. there is such a great atmosphere inside the congregation it really is like a family and you don’t get this anywhere else.. a real friend is someone you can rely on when you are in need.
if things go wrong for you and you are going through a hard time you know real friends will be there for you.
as long as you didn’t bring it on yourself by going against gods law then you have to prove you are repentant first of course.. there is a lot of research now saying that good friends is essential for healthy and happiness.

If you can wait until the very end before making a commitment, and god is okay with that, then isn't that actually the best course of action? Live how you please, wait for clarification, then make a choice. It sounds like the most logical option. If god was to punish people for doing otherwise, that seems unfair.
