Help wanted finding images
by Lee Marsh ini am working on a project that requires proofs that the wts did say it and jws believe and follow it.. i have found some but google is giving me a hard time with some things.. as i go i will post requests for various images.
they all must have a reference or at least post where i can find the reference and i will add it to the image.. both older and newer beliefs are welcome, especially flip-flops.. if you have something similar to what is already posted then more references the better.
i know there are images of the structure of the wts.

If they rolled back the claim about apostates being mentally diseased... is that an example of "new light"?

Recall the Facebook post he made shortly after the whole scandal broke, and you will realize that what he was trying to do then -and continues to try to do- is to imply that the seven were accusing him of abusing a 14-year-old. He does not state this outright, but you can see how he tries to lead the reader down that path. He claims that Kim defamed him, but provides no details. Then he tries to link it to a past "campaign" by the Vast Apostate Army to convince people that he had committed CSA.
He tries to be vague enough to give himself a way out if people demand specifics, but it's not hard to figure out what he is trying to do. Even now, he wants people to believe that Kim's "betrayal" amounted to accusing him of CSA, and that the seven/twelve have done the same. He arduously avoids providing any specifics, even as he refuses to stop referring to the case (although he seems to have done so recently...).
This is where the court filings could be a real problem for him. Did he provide any details? What do those look like? Did he follow the narrative above, thus providing the seven/twelve with an opportunity to demonstrate his deception? If he didn't, the basis for the suit will be embarrassingly thin, especially after he described Kim's actions as the worst betrayal ever, and the worst thing that ever happened to him.

Regarding new "Morning Worship" video - John Ekrann: "The Love of Money" (2 Tim. 3:2)
by EasyPrompt inthe man spends nine minutes and sixteen seconds condemning all the behaviors that the wtbt$ is guilty of without even realizing he's doing it.. .
(as he sits in a studio in a compound build with "voluntary donations" where they are fed and clothed and cleaned and insured with "voluntary donations" and drive cars purchased with "voluntary donations" all associated with a corporation founded on a selling-literature-business and now often funded by building/restoring real estate with slave labor and then selling it to pay for some elders at bethel to live on a lake and take jets to give talks to worshipful doting masses at convention centers in various parts of the earth.).
"but know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here.

slimboyfat: In my case I was told my thumbs were gone and they were.
Now I have this disturbing image of Simon at his work desk, with a small bag full of thumbs on the table next to his keyboard.

Lee Marsh: I have to wonder what was so wrong in the marriage that she had to go somewhere else.
You don't want to know. Suffice it to say, some of us could tell what was wrong with it before they were married. I was just astounded at how the elders seemed to follow a script, even when they appeared to think it was wrong. The oddity being that they seemed to side with her disproportionately when they were meeting with the couple, while also privately telling her husband that they sympathized with him.
I think about it sometimes, because if I had been made an elder I might also have had the opportunity to judge people's marriages and relationships, even though I was utterly unqualified to do so.

Yes, I think it is much more an issue if the sister initiates the divorce, because the organization places a very high importance on keeping marriages together. It can work both ways, though.
A friend of mine was married to a sister who cheated on him and had a daughter with another man. She went to the elders and confessed, and my friend agreed to forgive her and even raise the daughter as his own (her biological dad showed -and continues to show- little interest in her). A couple of years later, his wife again went to the elders to confess... to several more affairs.
Officially, the elders took no action and advised him to forgive her. Privately, one of them told my friend that he stood behind the advice they gave him, to try to salvage the marriage. Yet, he admitted that he would likely not do so himself, under the circumstances. My friend filed for divorce and I don't think he was ostracized at all. Then again, he is a nice person and very helpful to everyone, and the circumstances (repeated infidelity with multiple partners and no corrective action taken) make him a sympathetic figure.
The desire to avoid bringing reproach on Jehovah's name can cause elders to be rigid and unbending, even when they are confronted with a unique situation. Which can end up bringing the reproach that they were hoping to avoid. His ex-wife is out for many years now, though she hung on for some time. It's not a good look for the congregation.

"When people ask her for evidence, she responds with sarcasm or tells them to Google it."
Oh, that's not good. A timely reminder about the nature of the internet, and about human nature.

Jhine: From this site l became aware that the Watchtower that is sold to the public is very different to the study Watchtower.
Could that be a (relatively) recent change? When I was in, the WT was one magazine. The one offered to people in field service was the one we used for the study. But I would be talking about the late 90s, since I started to fade around 1996/7. I didn't realize that they had introduced a different version for the study.
Until last year, I didn't realize they had been producing fewer new magazines, either. I can't say I regret losing touch with them.
