What if, just as Armageddon begins, a DF person has a heart attack from the realization that it is the end? Does Jehovah watch them intently to see if they actually died before or after it officially began?

Thanks Atlantis.
The constant focus on secrecy is bizarre. "For the love of all that is holy, do NOT let people see this literature that we will be handing to them a few days later!"

WingCommander: Lett only plays a clown. Evans really is a clown.
That's it, exactly. You could distill it into the perfect essence of clown by using Lett's facial expressions and Lloyd's talking points. We don't even need a new name for it, since one already exists: assclown.

KIMSILVIO: (Derek started it with the use of cult phrases)
LOL
Okay, I see where the problem was with the criminal lawsuit:
"the defendants [...] are charged with several criminal offenses against honor and reputation[...]"
On further examination, the court recognized that the defendants could not commit a criminal offense against things that do not exist.

Lloyd Evans Patreoff Pool - November 2023
by DerekMoors inlet's get the fun started and put in our votes for how far down the pumpkin patch lord of the fries will fall in november.. for those keeping score, last month he started at 457 patrons, did some begging and managed to bump those numbers up to 478, but as of this writing he's down to 439.. so, how well do you think the grift will continue this month?
let us know where you think he'll be on november 2. lucky number 420?
will he drop back down below 400?

Critique of Chemical Evolution
by Vidqun in"molecules don't care about life.
" first part deals with abiogenesis and the state of current research.
second part stephen meyer proposes intelligent design as an explanation of some of the problems.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bss0rxpsbuq.

James Tour is a legit chemist who apparently puts at least some of his learning aside when he talks about origins of life. He admits that he has become something of a pariah in scientific circles, primarily because of his pushback on research into abiogenesis. I think part of what irritates his colleagues is his clear support of intelligent design combined with his insistence that he is not pushing creationism or any sort of religious viewpoint. Since he's an avowed Christian who is aligned with creationist groups and organizations, it's clear what he is promoting.
Similarly, Stephen Meyer has degrees in sciences other than biology, and his attacks on evolutionary biology are of such quality that most biologists seem content to ignore it, leaving the job of refuting him to countless YouTubers.
I suppose it's possible that the global scientific community treats them as outsiders because they have found evidence that turns the field of life sciences on its head. I think it's much more likely that they are ignored because they're snake oil salesmen.

Real reasons behind this change?
by Gorb injust a good conversation at home about the hour report change.. we think the change was not impmemented because the gb are such a lovely bunch of old grandpa's having the best in mind for us individuals.. there will be only, and we say only, an organizational reason for it.
a legal reason, to protect jw.org and it's officials and wealth.. next step?
maybe selling more kh and when jw hollywood studio's in rampoo are ready a change to tv subscription.. what do you think?

He was down to 390 patrons when he did his begging video and bumped the numbers up. I think he hit a low of 435 this month before rebounding to 440 or 441. I think he's at 439 now. I'm curious to see if he goes lower than 400. Will the lack of activity and recent whining tire out enough patrons to drop the number more than normal? Or are we down to the true die-hards who will dig in and keep throwing money into the fire?

Thought on “0 hours” reporting
by FFGhost inso everyone knows the “big news” of this past weekend, no more reporting of hours, placements, return visits, etc.
beginning november 1, jws just tick a box indicating whether they “shared in any form of the ministry during the month”.. so there was a brief comment by a redditor that seems like a brief joke “throwaway comment” but after thinking about it….why not?.
the idea is, what is “any form of the ministry”?

Growth is a way of indicating that something must be worth checking out, since other people are becoming a part of it. It's why so many social media sites that allow follower tracking are rife with methods of inflating the numbers. If you've got 100 followers... that's nice. If you've got 100,000 followers... you must be doing something right. And so on.
The WTS might be concerned over the stagnation of the past few years. Once the pandemic was over, they probably expected the numbers to rebound and growth to pick up again, but perhaps that isn't happening. If they can inflate the numbers, they can present them as evidence that they have Jehovah's blessing and perhaps get more people interested.

Did Anyone Have Fun With Their Field Service Reports?
by NotFormer innow that there is new light on reporting hours in field service, it's raised a few questions for me, who was never in the jws.
did any of you ever have fun with the field service report slips, by finding creative ways of reporting time without raising suspicions in those who oversaw the collection of those slips?.
also, can anyone upload an image of what the slips looked like, or point me to a post that gives uploaded examples of the sort of paperwork that was familiar to jws in good standing?.

I never heard that kind of talk, but I grew up in a pretty bad area. The fanciest homes were the decrepit rowhouses surrounded by low income tenements. I can imagine us talking about building on the ashes of those places, but not moving in.
As for field service, the forms were pretty vanilla. You entered numbers and no one really checked up on them. The closest we typically came to any kind of creativity was to round the hours up. You could probably double your reported time if you didn't feel guilty about it.
