I've heard at several conventions, assemblies and meetings that we are only guaranteed survival and protection as a group. So basically anything can happen to you and you can't expect Jehovah to step in and save you. Maybe he will, maybe he won't. Most likely not. However as group JW's will be saved. Even if your faithful to the end, MAYBE you will be saved. If you die...maybe you'll get a resurrection. Huh? What kind of salvation is that?

Is The Watchtower Corporation Facing A Meltdown Of Confidence Among Its Members?
by Brokeback Watchtower inlooking at all the narcissistic bull shit the watchtower corporation has been spewing out for the world to see about suffering of its members to as nothing worth being very concerned about and as jehovah magnificent be vindicated is much more important.
have they really gone off their rocker enough for a very sizable portion of membership to see their insanity and jump ship?.
i think definitely they are losing all respect from their internet savy members as their madness becomes obvious.

Last Week's Watchtower had something that made people start questioning things?
by silentbuddha ini just got a call from a friend who said that something in last weeks watchtower caused a number of people in various congregations to start questioning things, and several long time elders left.
i am totally out of the loop but i do read things here and i heard of no such thing.. something to the effect that jw's and governing boobies are not inspired or something along those lines?.

I never understood why God gave Job more children, why didnt he resurrect the ones that were killed. If Job never knew why this was happening, who told moses? or whoever wrote the story, how did they know what happened in heaven?

Just A Thought Regarding The Bunker Video
by pale.emperor inas ridiculous as the bunker video was, a few things popped into my consciousness as i was riding the train today.
firstly, why did they go to all the expense and effort to not only create a bunker, but to furnish it like a living room complete with coffee table, armchair, shelves etc?
i mean, a bunker should be a bunker... boxes of tinned food, tools, medical supplies, emergency gear etc.

I remember watching this video at the convention and I was really annoyed by the ending, when the storm troopers opened the door...then that was the end....OK....now what?
They were hiding. Why?. They went through all the trouble of hiding and having secret knocks, being on the look out and being extra careful, yet! they were still found. They never said why they needed to hide. It didnt make sense to me. So exactly when does God protect you?
I felt like the video was over the top and I felt embarrassed wondering what anyone visiting the convention would think of the wacko video.

Is the End right around the corner or what???
by Lynnie ininteresting observations i've noticed when visiting my uber elder cousin and his wife.
he just inherited a lovely home on the water on puget sound from his non jw dad who passed away earlier this year.
so they have spent many $$$ and months remodeling this house to their standards which are quite expensive tastes.

I bought a new car and everyone questioned me about it because the car i traded in was fairly new. Some asked "is this your Armageddon car?" I was like yeah if the end comes within the next two years 0__o -

JWs biggest problem is not doctrinal issues
by Chook init's biggest problems are associated with its lack of genuine love and concern for the rank& file.
the average person doesn't need a food critic to tell them their hamburger is shit, in the same manner the average person can discern kindness and love.
gbs fake love and concern is evident in the way head office deals with victims of sexual abuse by jw clergy.

I've been trying to respond to this post for the past hour... it's so much i want to say, too much, i could write volumes on how unloving this organization is. It's anything but love. If you're not a pioneer, elder, or MS ...YOU ARE A NON FACTOR. This isn't the message Jesus taught. But Jesus is sidelined too....so there you have it -

"Even if this wasn't the truth, I would still stay. This is the best life to live..."
by HereIgo ini was recently told this by a jw family member when trying to get through to them.
does this quote indicate that maybe such ones have considered that the jw's may not have the truth after all?
or is that just my wishful thinking?

I didn't waste time trying to fade. Once i knew it wasn't the "truth". I stopped attending meetings. I just stopped everything connected with Jw's. They call...i don't respond anymore.

Convention invitations
by dothemath inso everyone is supposed to get all excited about the invitation work starting tomorrow, according to the announcement from the platform.. maybe this makes sense if you're giving out invitations in the city where the convention is, but what if you're many hours away?.
a huge part of western canada is scheduled to attend edmonton alberta this july.
so how does that go over giving out invitations in winnipeg, about a 13 hour drive(that's just driving time).. i know some are actually planning on flying there, so i can't see getting excited about getting the public to make the trek.. i was curious how this is going over in other areas?.

There was an invitation folded neatly in my door. No one buzzed the bell or knocked on the door. They Just stuck it in the screen door and moved on... The convention is 2 hrs away.
