  i wanted to get people's opinion on something.

  how do you feel when people use illegal means while performing their activism to shed light on the watchtower.

  there have been people who have illegally recorded conversations with elders and with branch offices or at meetings.

  JD: So I shouldn't bring up anything that is over a certain number of years.

  Did I say that? NO.

  Did I suggest it? NO.

  Did I in any way imply it? NO.

  Read what I asked. I made an factual observation and then I asked a question that arose in my mind as a result of the time that has passed. I want to know YOUR REASON(s) for bringing it up. No one has even posted on that thread in five years. So why now? It's a simple question.

  If you can't or won't answer it, then just drop it.
  

  Either way: PLEASE, Do NOT insert/attribute/project motives and or intentions that I have not explicitly expressed and do not have. It's really fucking annoying.

  Maybe he had a hair or something else in his mouth that prevented him from spitting it out!

  SD: Yeah, you're right, the guy with the girly-man voice actually says "...with Jehovah's erection" strange use of the word.
  JWGB: He'll be counseled on using proper enunciation

  He probably meant to say, "Jehovah's direction," but that all important "d" at the beginning of the word is completely missing. It just isn't there. It's not audible at all.

  Could be a Freudian slip. The "d" was there, on the tip of his tongue, but it just didn't come out!

  Wow, God got a computer! And now he's teaching us to use the internet. Oh, boy!!!

  This organization is so hopelessly behind the times technologically and yet they strut and crow like they invented the damn stuff. And their so controlling about it even George Orwell would shudder. Note this comment @ 7:27"

  • "Back in 2008, 25 individuals were approved to receive email on their mobile devices."

  And of course, this is all on a closed, in-house system that can be monitored by the WT leadership. Paranoid much?

  There is also a very curious comment by the man speaking at 8:45"

  It's probably NOT what he meant, but it sure sounds like he is saying:

  Anyone recall someone disfellowshipped for gluttony???

  gluttony seems to be a sin that jw's like to ignore .there are several scriptures that point out that gluttony is a sin, proverbs 23:20-21 "do not join those who gorge themselves on meat".....also i read somewhere that 1% is the number of disfellowshipped jw's each year......how do prove someone is a glutton and not just a person who love food???

  I wonder how many of the GB members are obese, that is with a BMI of 30 or higher?

  For a man that is 5'11" that is only about 215 lbs (97.5 kg). From pictures I've seen of ToMo III, Mark Sanderson and Sam Herd, I would suspect they'd all tip the scales north of a BMI of 30.

  No I haven't, but there sure are a lot of JWs that are extremely obese. Not that obesity and gluttony are one and the same, but there is certainly a strong correlation.

  And I'm not must saying a little overweight, I mean morbidly obese.

  It's noteworthy that the WTBTS has avoided that particular "deadly sin." Here's an interesting "confessional" on the subject by a Christian pastor:

  What religions/organizations aren't a cult?

  so we've already established that most religions can be classified as high control groups, we can name the wbts, church of scientology, lds, etc.

  the list goes on and on.

  but are there any religions or organizations that aren't classified as a high control group or aren't as bad as the ones i've just mentioned?

  Perhaps, but it was the very first issue you brought up in your OP.

  JD: do you think that the ends always justify the means? [Bold addd]

  Not always, but certainly sometimes. Again, the use of the world "always" shows that problematic black-and-white, all-or-nothing thinking that I and others on this thread have repeatedly cautioned against.
