Simon, sorry to hear about your dad AND your mom.
Glad the wedding went well, it was really good you could attend and take your son.

my father died a couple of months ago.
he'd been ill for some time and had many health scares and heart troubles over the years but always managed to keep on going.
then one time he didn't.. i'm glad i got to know him again and spend some more time with him after so many years missed because of the wts but those years will always be lost forever.

"You can agree with us, or you can be wrong!"
Let's review: It's a cult!
the first part was all about the the evils of higher education.
i couldn't stand it and left.
was anybody there today?
WildThing: Thanks for finding and sharing those statistics.
So making more money is important, but NOT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING to recent incoming freshmen.
They are more interested in getting a better job, gaining a general education and appreciation of ideas, and getting training for a specific career. Laudable goals all!

R&R, I saw that same skit back in the ‘80s.
The people in the skits I saw are now in their 50s and 60s, if they’re alive at all.
I ignored this bullshit advice, got a college degree and an able to make a good living doing work I love.
As a teacher, I help young people to THINK FOR THEMSELVES!

So an uneducated person rails against education. What a surprise!
Sour grapes from jealous losers that are afraid of anyone having greater accomplishments than they.
in case you haven't read me, i am a spanish pimo who is preparing himself to become an english teacher.
well, i just wanted to share with you that i've been called to work in a high school and my first week of work has been amazing!
this job is not permanent, it will end in july, but finally i got rid of many doubts about my adequacy for this job: i love it!
paradiseseeker, Congrats on the new job and welcome to the teaching profession.
You won't get rich as a teacher, but you can certainly make a difference while helping shape young minds, encourage them to think for themselves and live up to their full potential.
A bit of advice, after you have a year or two under your belt, pursue a Master's degree. Not only will it make you a better teacher it will also greatly increase your employability and earnings!

do you have the facts?.
page 3 - as true christians, we need to develop the ability to evaluate information and reach accurate conclusions.. page 4 - it is especially important to avoid (view) websites promoted by apostates.
(awakened jw's) their whole purpose is to tear down (inform) god’s people and to distort (reveal) the truth.
Be sure you have the facts.
It is literally impossible to be sure you have the facts—especially ALL the facts—if you only have a single source of information!
It is important to learn to be open to, and sometimes even actively seek out, additional sources of information if we hope to even have a chance at knowing the facts.
he was basically a good man, just a believer in the religion.
when we were both elders we were best of friends and then things deteriorated when i was not an elder for a while.
then after becoming an elder again, i slowly drifted away from the religion and he drifted further away from me.
I’m sorry to hear this Minimus. We need to treasure the little time we have with the people we love.
That the beliefs and practices of this religion interferes with and oft prevents that is one of the many pieces of evidence that it is a destructive cult.

The classic:
”Let’s eat grandma.”
Or ...
“Let’s eat, grandma.”
It would be helpful is there were dates (even if only approximate) as to WHEN they were sold.
