JM: An obese person in my mind one who can not get out of bed, unable to walk
Well that's not how the medial profession defines obesity. Here's a medical reference for you:
"Obesity is beyond being simply overweight. It's very common -- more than 1 in 3 U.S. adults are obese."
If your BMI is:- Below 18.5: underweight
- 18.5-24.9: normal
- 25-29.9: overweight
- 30 or higher: obese
What you describe, James, is someone that is even beyond what is called "morbidly obese" by medical professionals that work in this field:
"An individual is considered morbidly obese if he or she is 100 pounds over his/her ideal body weight, has a BMI of 40 or more, or 35 or more and experiencing obesity-related health conditions, such as high blood pressure or diabetes." - What is Morbid Obesity? (University of Rochester Medical Center)
- Below 18.5: underweight

This convention talk offended me
by Isambard Crater inhere are my notes from the r.c yesterday, the talk called "jehovah – the greatest example of endurance".
many of you will understand why i found it offensive.. jehovah has taken the hard option of choosing to endure:.
reproach to his holy name.

Wow, Creator of the Universe and yet Jehovah sounds like a whiny little spoiled brat!
Please tell him I said so. I used to talk to him often but he always ignored everything I said so I don't talk to him anymore.
If he wants to "set matters straight between us" he knows where to find me (Isaiah 1:18). I've been here waiting in the exact same place for more than six years and the local elders can't find me even though they all know my address and they all have GPS on all of their phones and in all of their cars.
I guess the angels are busy ...

What religions/organizations aren't a cult?
by Jules Saturn inso we've already established that most religions can be classified as high control groups, we can name the wbts, church of scientology, lds, etc.
the list goes on and on.
but are there any religions or organizations that aren't classified as a high control group or aren't as bad as the ones i've just mentioned?

No it isn't. Your response is insulting to the very people you hope read your post.
Unreliable is unreliable and that's not good enough. Learn to do serious research. You're just lazy and you do this all the time.
That's the same bullshit "research" the WTBTS expects you to accept.
Up your game dude. Get the clue. Your habitual wholesale CUT & PASTING of Wikipedia pages is beyond lame.
Learn to locate and identify reliable sources, quote their relevant comments accurately and then share your own comments and analysis on it.
And maybe you could occasionally respond to another posters comment and have an actual discussion.

Using Illegal Means for Righteous Activism
by John Davis ini wanted to get people's opinion on something.
how do you feel when people use illegal means while performing their activism to shed light on the watchtower.
there have been people who have illegally recorded conversations with elders and with branch offices or at meetings.

You know what Morpheus, the assholes running this cult break families apart and coerce people to shun family members just for asking questions or because they quit going to meetings.
I think you've lost perspective.

Morpheus: i also dont think its a religions business to creat community shunning over it.
Well of course, but I think you're missing the point. Probably none of us ex-JWs want anyone shunning anyone for anything.
This is about exploring why this one particular "deadly sin" out of the Biblical seven is so obviously and scrupulously avoided by the WT leadership.
They'll invade your privacy and get in your bed and say you can't get or give head, but they turn a blind eye to one of the most physically obvious sins of all.
