Set the record straight!

i would like to state publicly, on this forum, i no longer hold the views i had a year ago.. with much thought, research, study and logical examination i have come to a better understanding of my beliefs and where i stand on all these issues.. i'm very happy to announce i have returned to healthful teaching of the holy scriptures and i firmly believe that the governing body of jehovah's witnesses is the faithful slave.. sorry if i have contibuted to any kind of stumbling and know that if i can turn things around then there's hope for all who come to there sence.. phill4:6,7.

Counter-protests to Free Speech Rally in Boston

i never thought i would see that in the us, a "free speech rally" (which has distanced itself from and organizers have nothing at all to do with the right, republicans or extremism) is being counter protested by thousands in boston today, the counter protests being organized by a coalition of black supremacists and sjw's.. on the other hand, google is building a database of speech that doesn't align with the left-wing political values.. i'm not sure what youngsters are thinking these days, but free speech used to be the cornerstone of american civilizations only a few decades ago.

the only way to drown out "bad" free speech is more free speech..

Just Offended A JW Cart Witness Without Even Trying

on my way into town from my office.

two carts set up a few feet from each other.

one manned by a man and woman (i assume they're a couple) in their late 30s.. the guys walks off to the other cart as im walking by, i wasn't going to approach but the woman holding the awake!

Why the vitriolic hate?

why does the society promote such vitriolic hate toward, and about those who have left "the truth" ?.

surely it is obvious that such critical attitudes towards ones like us who have left, only serves to proove that they do not have "the truth"?.

If by "truth" you mean an absolute commitment to trying to objectively understand things as they really are using a scientific approach, then good for you.

If, on the other hand, you are confusing the expression "the truth" with the religious organization known as Jehovah's Witness due to the way the WTBTS conflates the two terms, then that's not good. Not good at all.

By the way, you should know that most cults, particularly religious ones, claim to be the sole possessor of "truth" to the exclusion of all others. With just a little thought you should be able to figure out how illogical that is.

Truth is not a physical thing that any one or any group can possess exclusively, if at all. Also, if you or anyone else learns something that is true--even if you learn it from another person, a particular book, teacher or group--you will know that forever. There is no need to "return" anywhere or to anyone.

Belief in invisible beings is a delusion, and it is one which is generally unhealthy.
