Unmusical "music."
It's got all of the elements of music but none of the heart or soul.
the songs in the old brown song book were way better than these new ones.
had they not changed the songs, i may never have left (halfway joking).
they gave no feeling, no soul (but of course there's no such thing as soul or whatever)!

yup, you read right.
despite other personal turmoil that needs to be addressed, my family has decided to go nuts over halloween decorations being "too close" to our yard.
a new family just moved in next door; their kids are super young.
I have a better idea.
Since your parents are so concerned about what others think, tell them you have the perfect solution to their problem. They just need to follow the counsel from the "Faithful Slave" as outlined in the pages of the Watchtower publications.
Tell your parents that you've done some research and found just the article to help them handle this most difficult situation involving "wicked spirit forces." (1)
Assure them that you understand that, since "we too live in a world full of demonism, earnestly praying to Jehovah for his protection is essential in resisting wicked spirits."
Be sure to remind that that, "Of
course, we need to use Jehovah’s name in our prayers." Exhort them to actually read aloud Proverbs 18:10. It would be really good if they loudly called on Jehovah's name for all of their neighbors (and the congregation members that happen to be passing by) to hear. What a bold witness for Jehovah! This should be very faith strengthening to all observers.
I would strongly encourage them to go outside where their neighbors--all of their neighbors--can hear them. Tell them they need to "keep on praying to God, loudly calling: 'Deliver us from the wicked one,' Satan the Devil" (Matthew 6:13). This will definitely get everyone's attention.
Assure your parents that, should they faithfully follow this wise direction from the "Faithful and Discreet Slave," they can rest assured that "Jehovah will answer such earnest prayers."—Psalm 145:19.

What if the witnesses drive by? What will they think?
That's it. Let's live our entire life always worried about what others would think, particularly people that have no respect for personal boundaries, are extremely judgmental, xenophobically intolerant of others and also don't have a life of their own.
So glad I'm out of all of that small-minded, petty crap.

Tell your parents to get a life. Seriously.
i saw this on facebook: "i would like to thank the lord i am ok. had a serious fall yesterday from my garage landing to the cement floor and landed on my back.
i suffered a closed head wound, severe cervical sprain, 2 broken ribs and multiple contusions on hand and arm and shoulder.
could have been a lot worse.".
Let’s not ignore the need to “share.”
People could just “thank the Lord” silently and privately and be done with it, and no doubt many do.
But there’s a whole lot more going on that causes other people to be so public about these kinds of experiences.
Obviously they want others to know about their trials and tribulations, but at the same time they need to turn it into an opportunity to advertise their faith and/or spirituality.
It’s a way to get a dual emotional and psychological payoff, a two-fer of sorts: “Woe is me (can I get a little sympathy here?), and while we’re at it—look at me. Aren’t I the spiritual one? God loves me, this I know and I just had to tell you so!”
It’s a weird kind of dysfunctional attention getting behavior delivered in a virtue-signaling wrapper.

Karter, that’s “damn” with an “n” at the end.
I’m pretty sure Rhett Butler wasn’t talking about “a barrier constructed to hold back water and raise its level, the resulting reservoir being used in the generation of electricity or as a water supply.“
Spelling counts!
there are a number of things i find that defy logic when it come to watchtower religion.
here is a list...please feel free to add/subtract from it.

Claim that the wild beast of Revelation is the United Nations...yet the WT joins and supports them for 10 years so that they can get a library card.
That’s not illogical, it’s hypocritical.
But that’s okay because it was this particular hypocritical act on the part of the WT leadership that started waking me up to the fact that JWs are a cult.
a man can be a father .
a man can be a son.
a man can be a husband.
Island Man: I think it's pointless arguing the Trinity with JWs.
