Should Christians Own Dogs as Pets?
by undercover inusing the wt's "birthday logic" (only two mentions of b-days in the bible, both negative, which means "true christians" do not celebrate them) i wrote this faux wt article about whether true servants of the wt god should really own dogs... i'm no sd-7, but i tried..... .
animals are truly a gift from jehovah as the creator of all things.
animals have, since the creation, served as workers and companions for man.

Speaking of dog owning..I can love them as pets but still see them as animials..2 things are going on right now because of dog ownership..
One is my Granddaughter who is grown, married with two small childrena and her 2 boxers she has. She treats them like humans, they refuse to be potty trained despite being over one year old..she has to take them everywhere with her. She wouldn't go anywhere she couldnl't take them. (she feels sorry for them and also they will destroy her house)Finally her dad gave her some fence used to make a pen in the basement so she could go our for a short time in an emergency. She takes them to my daughters so she can babysit the kids..my daughter also has to babysit the dogs..otherwise my daughter can't see her grandkids. In the meantime the dogs poop and pee all over my daughters house. She puts up with it because she doesn't want to anger her daughter..BTW, her dad just gave her another dog because he can't have it where he lives now. So she has 3 large dogs.
Second, my son has a doberman and another large dog..they both bite. They do not mind the wife. They get along with the 11 year old girl but when she has friends over they try to attack them. They did bite one girl and they also bit a service man in the knee and drew blood when he came to make some repairs..He can't get any sleep because they wake him up in th emiddle of th enight and wan tout..he has to take them out on a leash or they will run away. He was working 12 hour days and was getting very little sleep.I refuse to go visit my son because I am afraid of the dogs.. as do many other people..and yet when I suggest he get rid of the dogs he says they are his babies..
I know this doesn't answer yuor question but it did pop this question into my head..I'll get back to answering your question later..
I really do love animals but I do also see them as just an animal..I will spoil them and treat them with love but still on the other hand know where to draw the line..

Medical treatment is centered on reducing as many risk factors as possible, such as quitting smoking, control of hypertension and diabetes, and reducing cholesterol. Patients may be prescribed antiplatelet medications (drugs that discourage plaque formation by preventing platelets from sticking together). Aspirin is by far the most commonly used antiplatelet drug. Other similar medications include clopidogrel (Plavix), ticopidine (Ticlid) and a combination of aspirin and dipyridamole (Aggrenox). Some patients may benefit from a combination of these drugs, depending on the presence of other medical conditions such as blocked arteries in the heart or legs.
If a patient is determined to have an abnormal heart (such as a weak heart muscle) or rhythm disturbances (such as atrial fibrillation), they may need to use a blood thinner such as coumadin. In other patients, abnormal openings in the heart may allow clots to abnormally pass through to the brain. In such patients heart surgery may be able to reduce the risk of future TIA or stroke.
If a patient is determined to have abnormal clotting of the blood (such as with some hereditary clotting disorders), they too may need coumadin or other blood thinners.
Prevention of Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA)
One way to prevent TIAs is to adopt the same strategies that reduce the likelihood of stroke. By far, the most effective measure is to keep blood pressure controlled, since high blood pressure promotes atherosclerosis. Even borderline hypertension (130 to 139 mm Hg/85 to 89 mm Hg) increases risk of TIA and stroke.Recommendations include trying to:
- Eliminate smoking. Smokers are two times more likely to have a stroke than nonsmokers.
- Drink alcohol only in moderation. Heavy alcohol use also increases stroke risk, perhaps by increasing the viscosity of blood and making it more prone to clotting.
- Exercise and maintain a healthy low-fat diet. These measures will help maintain proper weight and place less strain on the circulatory system.
- Control blood glucose. This improves general health and reduces diabetes-associated complications.
Questions To Ask Your Doctor About Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA)
How serious is a TIA?Is there significant atherosclerosis?
Is there a risk of a stroke?
Will you prescribe an antihypertensive drug?
Should aspirin be taken?
What changes in lifestyle are necessary?
Is surgery necessary?
I would also, if they haven't already, have an ultra sound of your carotid neck arteries..if they are clogged it can cause TIA or a full blown stroke..better be safe than sorry.
Take care,

Flax is good! But remember that a TIA is just a warning sign so please find ways through Meds/diet and excercise to lower your blood pressure..learn all you can about controling it and make a health plan. If you smoke stop..limit/lay off any sweets as they raise tryglicerides which can raise blood pressure..
Your Doctor can do a complete blood workup to see just what all is affected by the high blood pressure and recommend ways to control it.
Take care..

I worked in a bank and the bank keeps up on that. If they find a safty deposit box owner had died they automatically seal the box. They check daily! They someone from probate or a representative will have to get orders to allow access to the box. You wouldn't believe how many went unclaimed..
I remember one lawyer that I kept contacting about a box and he just couldn't be bothered with it. The person had a very large estate adn I guess he figured he worked hard enough or it wasn't worth his time..he just didn't care one way or another about the box..later when I had to inventory it there was so much valuable jewelry and other valuable investments we had to turn over to the state..this was a common occurance in the safty deposit area
And yet they are always running out of money..strange.

If a dog owns you, have you also noticed that his/her vomit doesn't smell at all? That was a very strange discovery.
I noticed that if you aren't careful they WILL return to their vomit and eat it!...
Some even eat/play with poop..And they say a dog's mouth is so clean..
Won't catch me letting them lick me on the mouth anymore!
