  it suddenly hit me, as i glanced down at a nice lady of many decades.................damn!

  i'm standing so close to her that she has fallen out of my depth of focus .............and she looks many years younger because, like a camera pointed at doris day, with vaseline on the lens, i can't see wrinkles, scars, crowsfeet or much else beyond a smiling, angelic appearance.

  hey, this isn't too bad!.

  My daughter married a man that was about 15 years older than her when she was 20. She commented to me one time that she couldn't stand to look at him when he was over her as his neck hung down like a chickens..they later divorced but remain good friends ...

  Sometimes the age difference does matter..

  I see it in the store way too much and never know how to handle it..Some say to offer help to the parent and others say to not make verbal contact..

  found this article on a "gay like" man that was refused and it got me to wondering..i really didn't know the rules!.

  Excellent point Lady Lee..sometimes we forget where the WTBTS gets it's articles..they do pick and chose which was very misleading to a lot of us at the time.

  What surprises me is the fact that with the computer so popular now and so easy to get on why more witnesses aren't doing their own research? And I am also surprised the religion is even still around.

  Coming to the Ex JW boards was a lifesaver for me!

  Do you believe in Miracles?

  do you believe in miracles?

  i know a lot of strange healings and such occur but why should it happen to one person and not another?

  makes me doubt that real miracles exist... praying for someone..why should one person be prayed for and survive and another one prays and doesn't survive..is god choosey?.

  Good point on the explanations/discription of the work 'miracle' except the general public usually thinks of a act of god when they hear the word miracle..

  Unconditional love?

  whatever happened to "unconditional love"?.

  why is it today so many are willing to shun a friend or relative because they are just too much trouble or they do something that irritates them.... they claim that the other person is "not healty for them" or "harmful to their mental health" be it a relative or a goof friend.

  too ready to write them off so to speak.. what happened to the kind of unconditional love that loves in good and bad times..... i don't get it... i guess "unconditional love" doesn't exist anymore.

  i don't believe there is a heaven that so many religions teach, do you?

  it all sounds like a fairy tale made up to make dying easier or as a threat to make someone have a conscience... i got into a discussion about it with my jw converted to catholic daughter and she just couldn't believe anyone could feel like i do.

  i am glad she threw away the jw teachings and glad she believes in something so wonderful but i for one just can't.

  Thanks all, I love a sense of humor..

  I saw a really moving film tonight about the book of Revelation and other bible prophecies..how currency would become the same all over the world..and eventually we would have one leader..how people would disappear..and others would be left standing. It was pretty spooky..I think spooky because it all fit in with the bible..course it's hard to believe a book that has changed it's mind/words so much over the ages that many times even the authors didn't believe it...

  So I am back to square one but I will be watching part 2 next Sat night....

  And Trueblue that is just plain wierd..

  I guess it is possible for miracles to exist but would still think it is unfair for one to be granted and not another..
