  I am STUNNED......

  i just got a call from the social security office.

  now......these people sent me a letter of denial of ssi even before their doctors examined me a coupla weeks ago, so i couldn't imagine why they would be calling me.

  at first i thought she was telling me that they'd mistakenly sent out the denial letter to me, but that wasn't it.

  Frannie..are they going back 3 months?..

  When hubby went of disability they made a determination almost immediately.

  We got a letter saying they were even backdating it for 6 months. That meant we got a back check for 6 months worth of payments plus they started the reg. disability payment the next month.

  I am now receiving MY regular SS payments (I'm 64 this year) but when ever I decide to I can collect his disability amount on SS. I am trying to hold out until I am 65 so I can collect the full amount he was receiving.

  I was really surprised when they told me that because usually a wife can only collect half of what her husband collects.

  It seems like they just pick and choose who will get disability .

  So that is really great that you can collect. I bet you are relieved and happy to get a little help.I know we were.

  Well when I wasin my 40's I got pulled over by the local cops for being out after curfew!...

  They still didn't believe it when I showed them my license...even made me get out of the car...dirty old cops!..

  Course it made my day!..

  Wish that would happen now!..

  Well at least they don't believe I'm a senior citizen..I guess that will have to do..

  America's new dream: Retire at 85

  Well hubby was only 62 when he died. He only got to receive one year of his pension benefits!..He didn't even get a chance to enjoy his retirement.

  I decided to start getting my money back from SS..I started to collect mine at 62...

  When I am 65 I can switch over to his SS..since he was on disability..I will get 3 times what I get now.

  I don't have time to go back to work..

  Maybe someday..if I want a little extra cash..but not right now..

  i was talking to two elders yesterday..... i was confronted about the whole "bad associations" question.

  i asked them what "bad associations" were.

  they have no idea what bad associations are to the author, only their opinions and the opinions of their chosen leaders.

  Damage caused by your pets?

  after my dog chewed the internet cable and left me off line for 24 hours, i got inspired to post this topic.

  have your pets caused damage in your house or even beyond?

  my dog also chewed and ruined a couple of shoes and a ten pound note (around $18) that fell to the floor without me realising this.

  Well my daughter has two huge leonburgers!..

  And they are still sticking their noses up butts!..It is getting very annoying.

  They like to take turns..they do it to every and anyone that lives or visits with her.

  I get so I don't even want to get out of the car..I end up with a big wet spot on the butt of my pants...

  How do you break them of that? Besides wacking them in the head..?

  WTS: NO MORE BOUND VOLUMES AFTER THIS YEAR!

  i just found out today (from my sister) that crooklyn will not be making any more bound volumes of the watchtower or awake magazines after this year------instead, they're all going to be on audio tape only.

  she does not have a computer so i generously

  i think this could very well be yet another tactic of the gb trying to keep a lid on their "embarassing" quotes of yesterday.

  We usually made our own hard volumns.

  We would just get the binders and punch holes in the magazines we had saved for the year.

  It was a lot cheaper..

  All that work for naught!..oh well..they are in the trash somewhere now..

  I too believe something will happen to mankind..how I do not know.

  I do know that mankind is NOT winning the war against pollution..global warming..disease..shortage of minerals..good clean water..and unpolluted food. Something has got to happen..the earth cannot survive like this. Well..maybe the earth can..but mankind has got to go!..

  Yep!..They are doing most of the damage..too busy to care..and if they do it is only half hearted..

  Well day before yesterday..it was a warm 60 degrees..it was beautiful outside..

  I saw a bee also!

  Yesterday we had a Hail storm and windy ..I think we had 50 mile an hour winds at least!

  Tonight it is going to be 2 or 3 degrees!.. It is soooo cold outside.

  Turning on the fireplace tonight!..

  my doc just wrote a prescription for this.

  antidepressant that aids in chronic pain, i have googled it already and am curious if anyone else has been on it or knows someone etc.

  he told me he wants to keep a close eye on me in case of complications.

  You should have gotten a sheet explaining the side effects..you can go to Web Dr. com and look it up.

  They wanted me to go on amtriptyline as well. I was having neck spasms...

  The warning label said it could cause seizures!..I decided I could handle it without the meds..
