New light on reporting child molestors...

i have a few witnesses on my facebook so i thought "why not"... i posted this article on america's most wanted that featured frederick mclean..the jw child molestor..been on the run since 2004.. http://www.amw.com/fugitives/case.cfm?id=35566.

so i comment on how i though they caught this guy but i guess they didn't as it was updated in dec.. so the jw gal i know in australia ( i knew the family when they were in the states) replies to the post.

She said: "Well, I see nothing better. This is what I want. I never blame Jehovah for what men do. Even in the organization. It's insidious men led by Satan. Of course they are inside as well as out. I don't know about policies. I know that we were told that any cases were to be reported to police, this by an elder whose daughter was molested.".

This was part of her last message to me. I have removed personal info. But what got me was that they were told to report molesting to the police by and elder whose daughter was molested!..She didn't say if it was another witness or someone else that molested his daughter. The point I am seeing is that it took it happening to his daughter before it was enforced by the congregation. The all of a sudden they are supposed to report it. That is the reason, the Elder's own daughter was molested!

We have no doubts but the witnesses continue to deny, deny, deny...sadly..

I loved pointing out the fact that while they were condemning the Catholic church for their child molestors , it was running rampant right under their own noses in their own religion. And yet they were so busy talking about other religions they neglected to "clean their own house". Nothing seems to have changed either.

It is so frustrating trying to get cable TV

ok my husband and i finally decided to get cable tv, as we finally got a new tv after having our old one for over 15 years.

being it is a flat screen high def we thought we would get cable.. i tried shopping around as all we want is the main networks such as nbc, cbs, abc and pbs.

we really do not watch that much tv as we watch dvd's for the most part plus everyone i know that has the 250 channels of cable only watch the major networks for the most part anyway.

I had arranged to have dish (through ATT) and when the guy gets here he is scratching his head and saying that there will be cables going across my floor to where the TV was. I said What?

He couldn't figure out any other way to do it..

The first time he came he needed a letter from the condo association telling him where to put the dish and what holes he could drill where.
The second time I had the letter but he was scratching his head..said it couldn't be done..and left.
The third time was when they said that about running the cable accross a major doorway in the hallway. And he said it was a big cable..2 of them!

The Direct TV apparently hires lazy subcontractors to do their work. I called and complained while he was still here and all of a sudden he decides he can install it. Course again, I will have the cables going accross the doorway..(where I know I will trip over).

So I tell him to get lost!

After he leaves I am so mad..I had already been trying to move in for a week..but refused till my TV and computer was hooked up.

Well, they got the Computer and phone hooked up but no cable!

Long story short I ended up calling Charter. They was already a plug in for the hookup so it was simple..it's just that the Direct TV is what I wanted plus it was cheaper..I told them they better honor our price deal for the phone and computer because it was their fault I didn't get cable with them (ATT).

Well little by little ATT kept raising the price (with so called taxes and fees) till it was rediculous..I finally switched everything over to Charter. I feel I got a good deal.

Now whenever they call wanting me to switch to ATT..I let them have it...

BTW..ATT contracts independant workers to install their Direct TV..

I told them there were sending the laziest workers they had out and hoped they weren't all like that..ATT didn't like that. I wonder if they went with someone else after that?

I even tried to show the guy how to lay the wires for Dish following the baseboard but they were too lazy to go out of their way..

After all that, I still think yours is a worse horror story than mine...

thetruone: That's what I was trying to tell her but she insists that since her congregation read that they should obey the laws of the land and turn them, she thinks that all the congregations are doing that..I opened her eyes about that right before I defriended her. She has a lowly opinion of "apostates" and I knew I would get nowhere with her. I planted the seeds (as they would say) now it's up to her if they grow or not.

I ended by encouraging her to research her religion in a way outside their own literature.

sketter: Funny you should mention Sciencetology.
I have respect for her parents, they are both very bright. When the Mom met someone out in service that believed in that religion both her and her husband delved into the study of sciencetology wholeheartedly. They had a hard time disproving it..They just felt it was wrong but still couldn't come up with why..

That was the only time I saw her stumped over something.

There must be a strong pull from that religion in one way or another that attracts people.

What really pissed me off was her hate for the one stirring things up(apostate) more than the molestors themselves!

When she told me it was "not policy to hide sin" I let her have it..

"Yes I know . Totally agree. But I know one of the men if not more on that program. Ed's ex brother in law and is apostate/bitter stirring up hate for JWs more than pedophiles and is himself a foul character. I don't think anyone should get away with ANYTHING. and it should be exposed but these guys twist things themselves. One guy tried it in one fathers house while he was there! Then he WIFE hissed thanks for ruining my life when he reported it all. These guys are all disgusting. speak out against decievers not organization. It is not policy to hide sin. The stupidity of some besmirches Jehovahs name. Ppl don't look at big picture. Everyone likes adultery and fornication and when JWs speak out against that we are backwards. Yet the bible condemns it equally with murder."

My JW Day

so i go down to the funeral with my brother, his wife and my sister.

i had decided to come back with my parents, in hindsight that may not have been such a good idea.. after the jw infomercial eulogy, where the elder forgot to mention that my grandmother had a sister which freaked my mother out because a lot of her aunt's children were there and this elder should have known better because he lived in the same town as the sister and was married to a cousin of the family .

after the buffet was over i rode with my parents along with my mother's cousin to see a woman who my parents knew before my birth.

My daughter de-friended (Shunned) her after she defended the JW's..

My daughter's comment:

"Many, many other reasons to "RUN" don't walk from this so called religion".
