JWs Were Right About Something
by minimus inthey used to say the world governments would turn on religion.
i think this part is coming true.
however they also said since jehovah’s witnesses were going to be the only religion left the governments were going to focus on the “eyeball”of jehovah, his people.

The Government does not care about JW's except the part that they don't pay their taxes as they should as a business hiding as a charity. And the child abuse. Other then that, no one gives a rat's azz.

The JWs don't like Chess
by mickbobcat ini can remember when i joined the chess class in middle school.
my mother brought out an older watchtower article about how chess is a game of war.
since i left the cult in 95 i have slowly lost any connection to the cult.

As a Jw child, I was very limited to what I could play or even do. If it was not door knocking or Jw bs it just didn't happen. Now I'm an adult, no hold bars.

Food for thought ? Talking to a JW ?
by smiddy3 insome questions you may like to ask a jehovah`s witness?.
1.when did the modern day jw religion begin?
we all know the stock answer to that q that they will give ,but persevere .. for the past 2000 years there has never been an organization known as jw.

Talking to a Jw will give you a headache. Listen to them struggle thru the questions. Flip flop. Spin around and around and out of context. When you ask them a question that makes them think they run and hide or view you as the devil himself. All you did was ask a deep question.

Does the Jehovah's Witnesses fall into category of being an organized cult ?
by Finkelstein ini think it does especially being that this organization is rigidly structured itself on formulated doctrines from a top hierarchy of men which are strictly enforced, among other reasons.
what cults are.
a cult is not necessarily a religious group, although religious cults are common, including breakaway sects from more mainstream faiths.

Watchtower claims they are not a cult. But if you look closely, you see that they are a cult no matter how on the defensive they get. Walks and quacks like a duck, it's a duck!

The governing body KNEW
by FedUpJW inso i received an email from one of the used-to-be jw friends that now pretty much ignore me.
it was haranguing me about "getting right with gee-ho'-vuh", and how imperative it was to "return to the organization".
it continued on with the worn out argument that "the faithful and discreet slave know what we must do in order to be safe and to live, as gee-ho'-vuh brightens the light to them.

I got a letter that said pretty-much the same crap about "Returning to Gee-hober ". I returned a letter listing questions and various areas we the GB miss the mark. A long list! Told them to go piss-off!

I told an elder when I was in my teens that can't wait to get out on my own. The first thing would go is these damn meetings, and everything else will follow. I have been true to my word.
