My great-grandfather lived to be 105. Then my grandfather lived to be 89, my grandmother 73. My other grandmother died very young.

How "old" is the oldest person who lived in your family?
by JH ini was just wondering how old can a person live.
my grandmother lived up to 97, almost 98. .
those born in 1914 are 92 years old and some are still alive.. i guess that no one lived over 120 years since the flood.. how "old" is the oldest person who lived in your family?

Be Honest: Did You ACTUALLY Report Accurate Field Service Time?
by minimus ini bet most people did not.
i think nearly everyone counted time spent on breaks.
or sitting in the car for an hour and a half while the elders did a "shepherding" call.

Unfortunately I did. If I had known that I could fudge the hours a bit, I'd be a pioneer every month!
There was one month when I was sick and didn't go out at all. The MS called me when I didn't report my time, and I told him the truth: I was sick and didn't go out in service that month. He said "I'll put you down for 1 hour, ok? that will keep the pressure off." I'm not sure if he meant pressure on me or on him (I'm inclined to believe the latter.)
Those of us who take everything seriously have a much harder time and much farther to fall when we come out of the Watchtower.

Fluff: Ladies, what makes you crazy?
by serendipity inin the last topic i started, i asked "what makes a chick crazy": http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/20/116188/1.ashx.
one of the posters suggested that women talk about what drives them crazy.
so ladies, what are the annoying habits of the people closest to you that drives you loco?.

I misread this question.......I thought it meant what makes us crazy, but in a good way
i go crazy when the kotex twists around and the sticky part gives you a bikini wax.
Candi I nearly choked on my soda when I read this!!! LOLOLOLOL!!!

Disgusting comment regarding the baptism at the DC
by under_believer inat the service meeting the other day the "friends" were given an opportunity to discuss the district convention (portland, or, june 30-july 2).

I'm sorry to go off topic a little but LovesDubs that avatar of yours has me in hysterics!! ROFLMAO!! What the hell happened to kitty? Oh and about baptism: I don't believe I was coerced so much. I was baptized just a couple of days from my 13th birthday. I had expressed interest on my own in getting baptized the year before that, and my cousin actually tried to talk me out of it. Of course once I mentioned it to my mother there was no turning back. So maybe it was a semi-coersion? I don't know. I just really didn't understand what it all meant. I guess it was just something I had to do and that was that.

Is it a case of; the more you know, the more disillusioned you become?
by jambon1 ini really feel that if you have had any kind of responsibility in the org then you are more likely to start becoming disillusioned.
having an appointment exposed me to all sorts of things that i simply would`nt have known about had i not been in that position.
anyone concur?

Soledad
I never had any responsibility in the org (cause I'm female) but I relied upon my gut feelings and my gut growled louder and louder until I walked away from it all, because I just knew something wasn't right. So I guess it's a case of either knowing more due to your position or just being more conscientious and sensible to your surroundings.
