  Got My Masters

  by that i mean from the platform at the kingdumb hall?

  i remember some study conductors who had the habit of calling on people in the audience that seemed distracted or unprepared--on purpose so as to embarass them.

  some were so out of it when the mic was handed to them they had to ask what was the question, why did you call on me i didnt have my hand up, etc.

  another time I remember at a circuit assembly the CO gave his talk and basically shouted at people from the stage--"there were so many people walking around during the program this morning I THOUGHT I WAS AT A ZOO!!" He actually pointed to one sister from the stage--"sister in the purple dress--why aren't you ever in your seat?" I was infuriated by this. My mom applauded those actions though. She said "he's right, we must control ourselves, we came here to receive spiritual food, not to walk around and make noise,blah blah. I just thought to myself "these people walk around or do other things during the WT study cause they are BORED!" Too bad I never spoke out that way, imagine if I did!!!

  So did any of you here have experiences like that?

  good grief.....this article is bringing up so many unpleasant memories for me....l remember how my mom would hassle my younger brother so damn much because of video games, and how she would hassle me because I liked heavy metal. No sooner would an article be published in that damned AFAKE! she would start harping on us to GET RID of all that DEMONIC stuff from her house....and out went the tapes, the books the cd's. OH how I hated not being normal!!!! DIE WATCHTOWER DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  Garage Sale Tips? Ideas? Suggestions?

  erm, i believe garage sales are also known as yard sales in the states?

  anyway, i'm planning on holding a garage sale in a month's time, as i will be moving and i want to get rid of my junk, as well as hopefully raise some few much-needed $$$.. those of you who have held them, what advice do you give?

  any tips on making it more profitable?

  this thread is too hilarious!!

  wash your dark clothes separate from your light clothes, the darker clothes in cold water. if your whites are really stained or gruchy looking, trying soaking in a little bleach with hot water for 30 min. 1 capful of liquid detergent is good in the washer. also if you have sweaters or fleecy items wash them inside a pillowcase---keeps them from "pilling"

  would like to make one general point. It is obvious just by looking at society that Jesus existed, and that He must have did some great things.

  which "society" are you talking about? I cant see how Jesus impacted the lives of residents in Eastern societies (India Japan Mongolia etc) or in the ancient Aztec and Inca empires. In fact I cant even see how the bible impacted those societies at all! can you explain why the bible seems to focus only on one particular area in the world?

  Missing a meeting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  today, like many days, well, usually once or twice weekly, i'm missing yet another meeting; it's the 'book study' meeting.. just don't feel like hearing the same crap.

  the book (isaiah's prophecy) we're studying now is so redundant and boring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  plus, i saw all the people i care for over the weekend, so i really don't need to have another doses of their love just yet.. sound familiar to anyone?!.
