  Is There Something You Want To Get Off of Your Chest or Vent About???

  one of the great things that this board offers is the ability to express yourself.

  sometimes, things we couldn't tell a person to their face, we can express here.

  or we might be able to give of ourselves, our experiences, our joys and frustrations......you name it!.......regarding my vent, it is that i can't understand why some post on these boards and yet are very pro witness.

  an elder in my congregation defrauded an older man out of $200,000 (not a JW). he fled the country for a short period of time but was eventually tried and convicted. as far as I know he's still in prison.

  the same elder allegedly ( ) set fire to a home he owned adjacent to his office. the tenants were home at the time. noone was seriously hurt but it was a close call. It couldn't be proven but everyone suspected him.

  i probably was the biggest slut in the kh- sex before baptized @ 13- sex after baptism when i was 17. oral sex about 5 times w/ different guys from the kh-- what can i say, i loved being a rebel, & love sex- i think the elders liked it to because i had to tell them the details (some guy always told), & they would probably get off later- never was disfellowshipped-- i am a good actress, but i thought the "holy spirit" guided them, well not because they believed my sobbing- --:-) kristine

  BTW freeofguilt what you described was very typical in my congregation among the teenagers, especially the sons/daughters of elders and MS's.

  No. I didn't get married until after I left the WTS. I wanted to badly while I was in though. I think sex factored into my decision to leave quite heavily.

  Al Pacino fans.....rent "The Recruit"

  we rented this movie today and it was awesome!

  it had so many abrupt twist and turns i think i have whiplash!

  al pacino was a treat as usual and the new young actor (colin farrel) was exceptional.

  I liked the movie but was not too impressed by Al Pacino's performance. The ending part reminded me too much of "Dog Day Afternoon." Been there, done that.

  What I Don't Miss at a District Convention

  name the things you don't miss about going to a dc!

  ---getting there so early and then find that the "servants" have saved all the good seats

  ---not having time to make a decent lunch and getting admonished about not buying from nearby vendors.

  having to knock on strangers doors, giving a talk in front of an audience, being questioned by the elders, having to go to 5 meetings???....etc.

  I hated field service so much!

  I could never just say no when pioneer sisters invited me to go out with them on weekdays during summer vacation! It was like I was forced along, I could never turn down the invitation, out of fear that I would be considered "spiritually weak."

  Or how about the same music which perpetuates materialism and illegal activity? If you listen to THAT RAP CRAP, you have guys with 100 hoes, a bottle of $1000 champagne, $100,000 cars, and are they doing it legitimately? Of course not, they prefer to BRAG about how they DEAL DRUGS and SHOOT PEOPLE to get ahead. Then these unfortunate, impressionable kids are influenced by this popular BULLCRAP.

  I remember when people used to say the same things about Heavy metal music. About how it made the poor impressionable teenage boys want to get a gun and "do it" because Rob Halford MIGHT have suggested that in one of his songs .

  anyway, my vent is about people who walk dogs in my neighborhood. Why do they need the whole entire sidewalk for themselves and the stupid mutt? I have to practically walk in the middle of the street to give these animals room while they squat and take a dump! It's so dumb!

  I guess I dont like dogs.

  Ahh I feel better now.
