  hi everyone and happy new year.

  I have made peace with my past and look forward to every new day. I no longer look back and feel regret. I feel like that all that I went through growing up as a JW made me who I am today and for that I am proud.

  well, we had a wonderful first christmas, filled with lots of family and friends.

  I could also take out a ad in the local paper in the ad section regarding what they did. Lets see how they like being talked about in a negative way!! I wonder how the local JWs would respond if we put a ad in the papper saying something about religious persecution!! Or religious intolorance...JWs egg and tear down Christmas decorations of ex-member!!!

  Please PLEASE do this!! I beg you!! Also make sure to send out a letter addressed to their congregation with a copy of that police report!!

  Seriously. I would pay serious $$$ to see this incident published in the paper!! Those f**kers!!

  my sister and i, are my mothers only two children.

  we were both witnesses at one point, i left ten year ago and my sister left in 2005. my mother remains as the only witness left in my immediate family.

  while my sister and i make good money, with our careers and duel income in marriage, we don't talk about it much.

  In my area having money meant getting away with anything, at least for a little while. There was this one family who owned an insurance brokerage and several homes in well-to-do areas, well outside of the congregation's territory but they were allowed to do just about anything they pleased. They gave jobs to other JWs and were generally kissed up to. Until their scams caught up with them in the press it was like they could never do anything wrong. When they fell they fell down hard: prison sentences and all.

  LOL boys do things like that! My brother and my cousin (they are only a couple of months apart) used to go pretend-fishing in the toilet!!

  my grandmother didn't, my mother didn't and neither did i. so how does this continue in this advanced day and age?.

  why would any woman put up with it?.

  i saw the results of women getting beat attending the hall.

  For some reason I did. My mom was very strong around my father (cause he was an unbeliever) but in the hall she would go out of her way to be subservient to the elders and such. Sickening.

  The average JW is worn out. They see year after year after year pass on by, with the same so-called "signs of the end" come and go and come again.........even my mom, an uber-dub, stays home from most meetings now and doesn't do field service as often. Says she doesn't feel "up to it." I never could have imagined her saying that 20 years ago!

  just a little breaking news:.

  after several years of a great friendship with diane (previously posted as xena) things have started to really come together recently and i've succumbed to making an honest woman of her (or at least as honest as it's possible to make her.

  last night (xmas day) i popped the question and she agreed to marry me (i wonder if she knows what she's let herself in for!!!)..
