  JW prophets or not!!

  well they use to claim they were...of course now they dont, at least not in so many words.their very name itself however, implies that they speak for jehovah.but if its the case as they claim, that they are not his prophets & do not neccessarily speak for him then they have no right to the name "jehovah witnesses"....furthermore, if they are not prophets then how can they claim that rev11:3-4 is referring to them....pg164 of revelation..grand climax book.here it says that "my 2 witnesses shall prophesy".....but since they are not prophets then how can they prophesy....how can god cause them to prophesy?.

  its all games obviously...an attempt to avoid the label "false prophet" but in the process of doing so they just end up looking even more stupid!....

  i posted this yesterday, but friend's discussion is going on - and i really think this is a fascinating display on what obedience to the wtbts means to the gb or parts thereof.. obedience for the sake of unity to the organization is valued over anything else - including truth.

  did jesus followers in the first century really not get involved in nationalistic activities?

  Friend, I'd be happy to provide you with my thoughts on this subject if you could help me out first. To my mind your phrase "Christ's followers" is most nebulous, please provide me with a precise and accurate definition of what you mean. Secondly after searching through many dictionaries I have failed to find the word "learned" in the particular context in which you you have used it*. There is the word learned in the english language but this is essentially an adjective or can be used as a pronoun. You appear to be wanting to use a verb in this sentence. There is the transitive verb learnt in the english language is this what you mean?

  * I did find an interesting note in the pocket Oxford dictionary which mentioned that usage of the word learned as a verb instead of learnt indicates either lack of education or lack of refinement.
