likely we've all noticed that on the two major jw discussion forums the most active forums are the "singles or dating" forums.. it would appear that there is an increasingly large number of single parents appearing in the congregations these days for whatever reason.. i admire these ones for the effort they put forth to bring their children up taking on the role of both parents.
from many of their comments in the "singles " forums, it appears many find being a single parent an extreme liability in "the truth" as far as finding a mate goes.
i wonder if jw culture has something to do with how these ones are viewed as prospective marriage mates vs. the mentality in the "world".. as far the single people go, there appears to be almost a certain desperation to get married, further scaring off potential mates.
Or 7 how about similar to a leading role in an Arthur Miller play ie. The Crucible? The disrespect for individual privacy in the lie ( I henceforth refuse to apologetically refer to it as the truth ) is in my opinion appalling and inexcusable. I don't know why anyone would put themselves through it. Your relationship suddely becomes everyones relationship like it's public property.
Pathofthorns - I think the "snag in this equation" - titles ( lets face it - rank ) is symptomatic of the entire sterile, fleshly, sinister mindset that pollutes the entire "brotherhood" ( read 4th Reich ). -SolidSender
this is an issue that really bothers me.
the elders are supposed to be looking after the well being of the congregation.
they are supposed to be helping those in need.
Andy I wish I could put this a little less bluntly – you’re obviously an intelligent person, wouldn’t it be better if you gave the JW’s the flick and got on with life in the real world? Or do you want to spend the rest of it having others making your decisions for you?
i've got my own opinion on this but i'm very interested to hear from anyone who has viewpoints on what impact they think the internet is going to have on the wtbs say over the next 5 - 10 years.-solidsender
oops another typo! - line should read - WITNESS EXPECTS STUDYS GULLIBILITY LEVELS TO BE EQUAL TO OR GREATER THAN HIS/HER OWN.

Let's face it the net is going to become as prolific as the phone and TV. In fact phone, tv, net and audio are all set to combine and go wireless at that but that's another story. For example I think it's got to get to the stage where: Witness starts study. Study says to Witness "what's the JW www. address, so I can go check out all the their online resources, you know all your publications online, JW publication archives back to year dot, etc etc ( Study lists natural expectations about any credible web site )?" Witness says duh, "We don't have one"
Study says "Why Not", Witness ( goes into spin control ) says " a) it's Satanic, b) The internet is banned amongst JW's
- etc, etc. regurgitating WTBS dogma, anything but an original thought. Witness honestly expects Study's gullibility levels to be equal to, or less, than his or her own. Next thing study does is goes to the internet, pulls up a search engine, types in Jehovah and begins to learnt that the truth about the truth is that it's a lie.
I can't see the WTBS heading down the this ignore the internet and hope it goes away path, head in the sand strategy as being the best PR move. On the other hand it seems to me that if they decide to enter the 20th century and officially go online ( I mean post more than the couple of dead static pages that they presently do ) it's going to be just as disasterous for them. Why? Because they can not have any archival material online. We all know why. Which will lead to the obvious question by any "newones" - How come? To my mind I find it hard to see the internet as anything but poetic justice to the WTBS. A threat to their power base that not even in their wildest dreams they could have anticipated. In conclusion, I've knocked this post out fast and it's more a sketch than a complete picture of what I wanted to say but it's late and I gotta get home.-SolidSender

9. Do you have any additional comments or suggestions for improving the
quality of God's services? (Attach an additional sheet if necessary.)
i have a conversation going on another site about hours and how important they are to a persons standing within the congregation.. one person is trying to say that hours don't mean anything.
that they are not that big of an issue whether you get them in or not.. would anyone here like to comment on that?.
take care.. andyman:
Hours - more fuel for the organisations witch hunt fires. I find the concept and practice totally sickening. So blatantly anti-spiritual, anti-love, anti-christ. Satanic. I'm at a loss to describe how deplorable this organisation regulation is.
7 - I'm totally impressed. - SolidSender (CrazyArms in previous incarnation)
i'm not sure if its my limited perspective, but i have heard the saying "elder's kids are the worst".. from my perspective, the saying appears to have much merrit.
if this is true, why would those who seemingly are raised in the "best possible environment" and who would in theory be raised in harmony with the society's direction (good "spiritual routine" , meetings, service, family study etc) turn out the worst?.
could it be that an elder's schedule is too busy for his family?
It seemed to me that anyone who deviated in any way, shape or form from organisational law immediatley became prime subject/suspect for a witch hunt, scapegoating or both. Thankfully Jehovan & Jesus judge us all with compassion and as equals - SolidSender
