Demonic sex

i'm not being a pervert, really.

i was just wondering whether there was a psychological explanation for why people (women, i think) experience sex, when there's nobody physically there.. there's a lot made of this in dubdom, so i'm thnking there couldbe a connection with the dub 'culture'.. just curious.. philo (honestly, but still a male)

First the theocratic sex, and now the demonic sex....I don't know about you, dude.

I've only heard of what you're talking about once. And that was in a movie I saw years ago. I think the name of the movie was The Entity. I've never known anyone to actually experience it, nor have I ever researched it either. So..my personal explaination would be in 2 words. wet dream.

If it is in fact common for women in jdub-land to claim that it was demonic sex, then they must be using that for an excuse because they had such a dream. sorta like when men masturbate and they use only one word to explain it. sleeping.

I'm not sure what you're asking. what is the "doctrine" about the sheep and goats that the GB teach, or changed in 94/95? If you state the doctrine. I'll add my opinion. ( assuming you mean the whole chapter 25 of Matthew. I don't see that as having anything to do with babies, or any other group of innocent people that Farkel was asking JW's to explain )

That's a great write, Farkel! I remember the orange "paradise" book very well. I also remember the terrible pictures in it. It was the book we used for our "family" study. The new things we read every week in it, made me scared for my relatives who were not in the "truth". I remember asking my dad if my grandmother ( who was not a JW) was going to make it through the very soon approaching armageddon. His answer was that no, she wouldn't if it got here tomorrow and telling me not to mourn for her, because I'd have no memory of her ever existing. This was his own mother he was talking about! btw...she's still here today. Being told not to mourn for all those who would not survive armageddon because they deserved to be destroyed hardens the heart. The hardening of the heart is why JWs won't get teared up and cry for all the babies, or anyone else. They've somehow killed their heart, and killed all the "natural" love and feeling that most have for their own familys, and fellowmen in general. the "snotty attitude becomes their only defence.

I agree with Tally in that JWs don't BELIEVE they are a religion. No more than they BELIEVE that Jesus it the TRUTH or the only way for salvation. They BELIEVE the WBTS is the only way to salvation. When I was younger, I wasn't allowed to even right down that I was a Jehovah's Witness on the millions of forms the school gives you to fill out at the beginning of each school year. (thank God ) I was told by my parents that I was no religion. religion was for satan's people. Anyone know what year it was ever published by the society that they bacame a religion?

"Your desire to "honor Jehovah with your valuable things" is commendable. May he bless the generous spirit you display."

other than that, I'm staying out of the seeker and tally "disagreement". I need all my limbs for wrestling.

If I would have known it was going to effect you in this way, I would have tried to warn you first. I must say, that I was ANGRY when I got mine. I was completely amazed at the gall of it all! Zev was too, that night we were discussing it in the yahoo chat. I wanted you to call and get the brochure to see for yourself. I didn't know it was on the net already, but I'm glad it is! Here are 2 links where it has been discussed on the board, and stephenw20 was the one who suggested we order one.

I have two watchtowers here that actually "encourage" children to donate their money/allowance to the society too. I'll find the and post the "ecouragement" from them soon. Maybe you should take a mild sedative before I post them though(tee hee). Multi-billions of dollars just aren't enough for the WBTS! I can't belive how low they stoop.

Seriously, I'm sorry that the brochure upset you so much, but most of all, I'm sorry I wasn't there to let you get your rage out.

One thing I noticed too, on the last page of the brochure ( page 32), the society is oh so very nice in realizing that "questions may reamain" for those who want to give chritable gifts and estates to the them. They say that the WELCOME telephone calls and letters and want to work with you!. If it has to do with dollar signs, they are so nice. Aren't they? And look what happens if any follower/member has questions about the Bible? Suddenly, they don't realize that questions remain. They don't welcome phone calls or letters on that subject either. The letters get sent from the society to their elders, and a file is kept on them! It all makes me wanna hurl! And the letter that comes with the brochure makes me ill too.

Thanks for the update, crossroads. I was wonderin why he was so quiet lately! If you have the time, and if you remember, tell him that I STILL haven't got a chance to talk to a live person yet when I call the charitable planning office up at "headquaters" ( beam me up, scottie! ) to ask for the Do Not Call Office. by the time I get home from work, the office is closed. I won't give up yet though!

Answered prayers

looking back over many years of prayers, i cannot pinpoint any time when i felt, unequivocally, that i had received a personal response to my prayers.

can anyone here relate any experiences where you have felt that god answered prayers for you?

A lot to be said about that too. we all have to believe in something. if our prayers are answered, or out wishes come true, we need to believe that things happen for a reason. when ya think about it, what is the reason? Is the reason "ourselves"?

I discovered that it's up to me to make my dreams realized.

you said more than you realize you did when you said that. when I was confused and was thinking about going back to the kingdom hall, for the sake of my kids, my answer came in a dream that was SO real that I woke up with tears rolling onto my pillow. ( ok...I'm sounding like a fruitcake now) but that IS what lifted all my guilt. that one dream, after YEARS of praying for what the right direction to move in was.
