someone asked me to post some of the material i have collected regarding how jws treat kids during their meetings.

the following was culled from my raw files.

These stories just break my heart and really do bring tears to my eyes too. I pray that times have changed since I attended meetings 22 years ago. I was fortunate that my dad wouldn't do anything like that during the meetings to me, or any of my 7 sisters. We never got in any trouble for whispering, or drawing, or stuff like that at meetings. It was silly stuff at home that you might do that would make him very abusive. I know that if anyone knew what my dad was really like back then, we would have been removed from our home. Unless it was a JW who knew what was going on. If that were the case, the JW probably would have said it was our fault that my dad was a lunatic.

I did witness other kids getting beat for moving around or talking too much though. And I saw my share of toddlers get beat because they couldn't sit still and quiet for 2 hours. There were some parents who allowed their children to bring a small toy, or even color or draw during the meetings. But those parents were very rare. The subjects of the talks were about 20 years above toddlers and childrens'level of comprehension. How is a child expected to sit through two ours of that, when adults even had a hard time sitting still and staying awake through it?!!

This is certainly a subject that should be brought up, and I'm glad you brought it up. As HadEnough said, it might open the eyes of JW lurkers who have toddlers,small children,and pre-teens. They are killing the spirits of their own toddlers and children

just a couple of quick questions, the first directed at exjws - could you ever see any reason for you to return to the organisation?

what would have to happen for you to return?

under what circumstances would you ever go back?

I would never ever go back. I have no doubt at all that I made the right decision leaving "it" years ago. The WBTS could never make all the needed changes to change from cult, to christian. To do so, would put them out of business. And I know that keeping their mult-billion dollar business is more imprortant than any human life is, to them.

Hi Friday,

I see the lyrics as explaining that men have been "searching" for the answers to life. Searching for answers to lifes mystery and confusion. All the confusion and mystery has always existed (Long as I remember, The rain been comin' down), even though men have always searched for the answers, all the confusion and mystery still exists (Good men through the ages, Tryin' to find the sun). Gathering in numbers to try to find the answers didn't help either, even with all the plans that looked so good. ( Still the rain kept pourin').

John Fogarty could have been writing that song because of the Vietnam War too. That song was released in 1970. He could have wrote it about woodstock, during the war . If that was the case, then "who'll stop the rain" would mean, "who'll stop the fighting and killing?" I seem to think that that IS why he wrote it. Because of watching the war happening.

LIES in Current Watchtower!

after posting on the maximus nourishment for the spirit thread about elaine pagel's "the origin of satan" and "adam, eve, and the serpent," i check my mail and find the watchtower for august 15, and a qfr (whole page) answering the question, "for how long a period of time did job suffer.".

they say "job's suffering and its resolution may have occurred within a few months, perhaps less than a year.

" blah, blah, tribulation momentary and light, blah, blah, christ will himself finish your training.

I understand your anger and frustration at all the LIES that the WBTS tell. When the WBTS put this statement on the site that they want the public and medias to see, "Disfellowhipping does not sever family ties", what they REALLY trying to do is DECEIVE people. They are truly sly,sneaky snakes I tell you! If anyone publicly told them they were lying, they would come back with this:

13 Cutting off from the Christian congregation does not involve immediate death, so family ties continue.

I took the above quote from an article telling followers of the incorporated business of the WBTS that it's "Jehovah's way" to "cut off thoroughly" relatives who are disfellowshipped or disassociated. In other words, to sever the family ties!

The WBTS are the best at being DECEIVERS!

That's all I'm saying for now...because now ya got me "mad as hell"! There are SO many lies on the jw-media site, that my head spins and my blood starts boiling when I think about it. I'll give it a rest now. Just wanted to let you know that the madness you feel is the same as many of us here feel. How long is the WBTS going to get away with destroying people in so many different ways? !!

Hi LadyBug!

My grandmother passed away the week before last, so I haven't been my man-bashing self lately. She died from enphysema (sp?), and that's probably why I jumped on BugEye in another thread. It all just struck me badly at the time, and I realized it right away. Anyway... Things are starting to get back to normal, and I'm coming out of my coma. So...watch out! I'm back! tee hee. Seriously, I'll be in a social mood again very soon. I miss all my chat-room buddies!

We could write our own, but I get the feeling it'd be a cold day in hell before the Governing Buttmunchers ever give the ok to print any of our letters/writings. .....oooppss.... did I say that?........what I meant was that it would be a nice,loving,warm and fuzzy kinda day up at the WBTS before the Governing Boneheads...Body! dammit!....I didn't mean that! I swear I didn't!...... ever prints anything that we may write. We may stand a chance of having something we write printed if we praise them though. They'd print it to puff themselves up with a little more pride.

hello to Jackson and Number 6 too...Jackson, I've been reading what the "WTS assholes" have printed on the 1914 crap. I have to read it more carefully though to try and understand the gobbely-gook that has been written, and trying to put it in some kind of order. That may take me 3 months or more, knowing the way the writers play with words and talk out of both sides of there mouths! Have you ever read a Questions From Readers' question, and by the time you finish reading the answer the society gives, you STILL don't know what the answer is! Even if the question requires a simple "yes" or "no" question that was asked!
Anyways, I'll keep wading through more of the doo-doo and see if I can spot ALL the lies regarding the subject you brought up.
