This board is not an upbuilding place for true Christians.
It's one more place that "true christians" could cry persecution then.
I think you should stay for just that reason.
Can "true christians" just up and leave life with other humans when it becomes "not upbuilding"? If they did, then they couldn't toss around the word "endured" so lightly.
At least you have a choice here. Thank God that you never had to endure REAL persecution.

Bible vs JW 2-witness rule
by Robert_V_Frazier inthe watchtower and its apologists keep insisting that the bible gives them no choice but to insist on two witnesses to an act of molestation before they can do anything beyond filing a report with headquarters.
there is very clear teaching in the bible that the two-witness principle does not apply to this type of situation.

"Chrsitians are not under the Mosiac law" over and over in wathtower literature. Yet, the watchtower will use the mosiac law scriptures to justify themselves further victimizing victims.

I DO see the irony of it.
This subject reminded me of what I read once and I found it just plain stupid. There is no other word i can describe it as. I looked it up and found it. The WBTS INCORPORATED ( led invisibly by Jesus Christ himself, of course) is really saying that people of "God's organization" can request and receive protection by the people of "satan's Organization, and that it's an arrangement permitted by God! And not to even defend a loved one or family member by using a firearm if it were ever nessesary, but to let a wordly person defend your family and loved ones instead. To make it even more crazy, the paragraphs came one right after the other. I've put the questions first, then the paragraphs:
11. (a) What makes it plain that Christians should not arm themselves with lethal weapons? (b) According to the Scriptures, where should our trust be?
11 The Scriptures, backed up by the modern-day experience of Jehovah’s Witnesses, make it plain that it is inadvisable for individual Christians to carry, or have in their possession at home or in other locations, a firearm or other lethal weapon for use against human attackers or intruders. (Isaiah 2:4; 1 Peter 3:11) One who prepares for violence invites violence. Rather, the Christian’s main trust should be in Jehovah, his God.—Psalm 18:48; 140:1, 4; Proverbs 3:5-7.
12. (a) Why, Scripturally, may Christians request police protection? (b) Would a Christian ever use firearms in an emergency, or take the law into his own hands?
12 In line with Romans 13:1, 4, the worldly “superior authorities” may set up certain peace-keeping agencies, such as police, that are armed officially to protect citizens and property. Since such arrangements permitted by God are described as “God’s minister, an avenger to express wrath upon the one practicing what is bad,” it would be in order for the Christian to request and receive protection from such an agency. But even if he finds it necessary to defend himself or his loved ones by whatever is at hand, he should not use firearms. Nor would he take the law into his own hands. In many countries it is illegal even to possess firearms for self-defense.—Matthew 22:21; compare Exodus 22:2.
This is as bad as the WBTS instructing their "publishers" that it's Scriptually ok for them to take a blood fraction transfusion if needed to sustain their lives, but it's not scriptually ok for their publishers to donate blood. So the blood fractions from "wordly" peoples blood is ok, but don't dare give their own blood to help sustain the lives of any wordly people. They lives are worthless and not of any value, being part of satan's organization and all, right? But their lives are good enough to use fractions from their blood that they donated to sustain their own. Ans this is all supposedly "scriptual".I'm just disgusted, yet again, at what the WBTS INC feed their own followers. To think that people actually respond to this crap as if it's spiritual food from God, rips my nerves to shreds, along with my heart. It's all so sad.

A Plea For Responsible Reporting
by hillary_step inmany hundreds of people read this site who are not subscribed, and i would suspect that the vast majority are jw's looking for answers to an internal turmoil that they may be living with.. the information posted on this board does get read and then passed among many congregations of jw's.
this information is a powerful force and is a wonderful thing for those who are seeking to be informed, and a not so wonderful thing to those in brooklyn who are seeking to harness the boundaries of knowledge.. given this scenario, and how much credibility can be lost by xjw's who perpetuate gossip and innuendo, can we check our sources and facts very carefully before we post information to this board.
there is no particular nobility in being first with news about some aspect of wts life.

JW's are who's leaders? Are you saying that Jw's are the faithful and discreet slave/WBTS' leaders? Please explain here to me or e-ail. Whatever you feel more comfortable with.Most JW’s are very decent people, with families, jobs, fears and hopes like the rest of humanity,...
Such as most disfellowhipped and disassociated from the JWs are. people are.but they reflect their leaders in thinking and inclination when it comes to how the deal with other people.
Which brings back my question of what you mean byJW’s are their leaders.
Once again, I do understand what you saying, by the example you gave (about gossip and innuendo)I just have that one question.

If that were a realistic option for many they may never have totally left the org for family reasons. Since one can't ask questions about their doubts it becomes a factor for many leaving in the first place. It provides a spring board for leaving.
That is SOOOOO true! And according to the bible, when fellow sinners went to the "older men" to confess their sins, the older men prayed and put some kind of oil on their heads. I have never found it anywhere in the Gospel/good news books of the bible that any older men/elders symbolically turned each other, or fellow believers into the hands of satan. I haven't found that such an evil practice is in any way imitating Christ as the WBTS tells the public that they do on it's public relations website. I see it as just an added lie to all the other lies they tell the unsuspecting public.peace,

hi all,
I was talking to beckyboob last week and told her I would find the thread that I explained the simple reason why I left the borg years ago and what I saw. Once I found the thread, I thought I'd bring it up again for all newbies to share their reasons why they left. It was a good topic and I thank Moxy for starting it.
