  i would like to first of all thank everyone that has replied to this thread.

  it's been a very interesting read and i couldn't wait to clear up a few things.

  i have yet to see a picture do any of those things.

  i just happened on this place a few days ago, and thought i would stop in to see what it was all about.

  it claims to be a jehovah's witness forum, which it is not.. dont want to come here and point fingers, as i am sure there are some good people in here, just seems the bad have followed the good.

  i guess in reality thats always the case, but hey, what else would these people do if they couldn't wage their little war on the truth.

  So rather then saturate myself with other peoples opinions, I usually stick with my own, and the Organization.

  What do you consider the "Organization"? I suppose the organization is not "other peoples" opinion? If not, then what is it?

  I can see why so many women become escapees from the "institution" after they finish rearing their children. No need for that kinda haven when the time has been served! 1 year and a 3 months left and I'll have my independence day. But whose counting?

  this is good news because i know i will have someone to talk to when im caught and dfd.

  but in her reading she is recognizing most of the names ( we were there at bethel during the 70s as a married couple) and asked what happened to reinhard lengtat?

  I don't know anything about Reinhard Lengtat, but I just wanted to jump in and say that I'm happy that your wife is reading COC now! It's wonderful that she'll learn the truth, and you will have her to talk to during the rough time you might be heading for. You'll have each other actually. BTW....what will you be Df'd for? Reading the book? One is supposed to be df'd for being an unrepetent sinner. The question is...what is the supposed sin that you'll be df'd for?

  when i first started to look into the teachings of jesus, i went out and bought a couple of books to help me.

  i bought a bible dictionary, and a bible commentary.

  when i looked up " pharisees" in my bible dictionary, it said "see jewish parties".

  Thank you for offering me your copy of Ray's book. That's mighty nice of ya. I went to Border's today, and they didn't have it, so I ordered it. Besides that, I'm sure I'll want to write in it and highlight stuff throughout it. I'm sure you wouldn't have appreciated me writing in yours! I'd love to read more of your work from the scolarly tome! Your excerpts are great!

  Fantasy.

  Your wife obviously knows how much it bothers you, so she should consider your feelings about it. Some couples have no problems with it, because it's not real. It's 2 people fantasizing together.
