The August 2024 Watchtower controversy and potential further changes
by ukpimo inas an educated guess, the august 2024 watchtower may be delayed because 2 complicated subjects need to be discussed in this issue which haven't yet been approved to be included in the revised shepherding textbook.
perhaps the revised shepherding textbook must be finalised before this watchtower is released publicly.. the 2 subjects may be as follows:.
how to shepherd and appoint brothers based on the removal of the hour requirements, getting to know the brothers instead (does this mean prioritising appointing men who have auxiliary pioneered during the co visit and campaigns or men who are regular pioneers?).

Watchtower: "We don't have a 10 year plan, the end can cone anytime soon"
Exjws: "There is no 10 year plan, because Watchtower has no plan, it is impulsive in its decisions"
10 years later...
Watchtower: "Brothers, we have seen many changes in the last decade!"
Exjws: "Holy shit, despite them not having any real plan the religion has gone through a multitude of reforms"
And the hamster wheel will spin, forever!

Yes, slimboyfat, it was overly exaggerated on the exjw Reddit. Only 1 week late, though I still anticipate the wait will extend into several more weeks. As a guess, I reckon the August Watchtower will be released online at the same time as the September study edition in 3 weeks time or at the same time as the October study edition at the end of July.

This is fairly late, by around 1 week I believe. Usually a new Study Watchtower is released on the last week of every month.

This is my British sarcasm, I'm implying the stupidity of the existence of JWTalk as a pro JW website when despite all their convoluted explanations for having such a website, they're just as apostate as this website, if that comparison makes sense. No doubt the Organization is against the existence of the JWTalk website as well, which interestingly has HQ based in Russia 🤔🤔

The pseudo-apostate JWtalk guys, who believe they're fully PIMI JWs when in fact the content of their site is a massive breeding ground for PIMQ and PIMO, often provide links which mine the website. They also appear to reveal confidential information publicly, very strange. Makes you wonder how much of a "threat" they are to Watchtower HQ.
I have obtained the link for the pdf of the August Watchtower study edition, nothing is showing as of yet. When it does it will appear in this link.

Read in between the lines.
I don't believe they are trying to time the release to coincide with the annual meeting.
It appears more likely that they're waiting for approval for new information in the upcoming revision of the Shepherding Textbook and perhaps in line with any "new" information which may (we don't know) be released in the June GB update.
All we need to do is keep speculating until everything is revealed!

I'm thinking many of us are going in the wrong direction here. I believe this is a very unusual move and it's paving the way for a change in how the wives of appointed brothers serve in the congregation. Remember, nothing that Elders or Ministerial Servants do in the congregation in general has a scriptural basis. The Scriptures are clear that the first century christian women had a lot more influence in congregations than JWs and many churches today currently make out. Perhaps JWs will go down that route again to "reexamine the first century Christians" and start giving women more assignments. I see big announcements coming our way, just wait for the jealous PIMI sisters who have no husbands or whose husbands aren't appointed!! More factions await us!

Consequences for actions. A high fat / sugary diet
by joe134cd ini want to illustrate my point about where many x-jws go wrong.
to illustrate, imagine a morbidly obese person goes on a calorie restricted diet.
subsequently he loses the excess calories and his health improves.

And surprisingly, many worldly people are against smoking and drugs, more so than we think. Generally, those from damaged backgrounds, either an abusive upbringing or controlled by religion tend to pursue erratic habits more extensively than the average "worldly" person. A JW or an exJW for instance is probably more likely to either not be disturbed by porn or regularly watch porn, to masturbate frequently in private, to want to fulfill abnormal sexual fantasies, with higher rates of infidelity, suicidal behaviour, depression and anxiety.. and no wonder because in more ways than one we are broken people trying to hurt our bodies when all we need is not to punish ourselves but cherish our life. As for obesity, some people are happy fat, not that it's entirely healthy but if that's what you're happy with then be happy. We can't propagate control tactics once we leave a cult, just enjoy life and let your bodies fill out and enjoy freedom, just don't kill yourself in the process! -

An intriguing photo. Wouldn't it be unusual if the delay is because all the JWs in the image have been DFd and they'll have to redo the image or they'll move the artwork onto another month anyway to pave the way for articles relating to the DF arrangement. It's an unusual cover article if the series are mainly about Disfellowshipping, unless it's a decoy to distract worldly people from reading it, and it's referenced only in one article.
