What is the toll of rejection to JW's?
by sleepy inwhat is the toll of rejection to jw's?.
growing up as a witness you face rejection at every corner.. you go to school aged 5 and soon you are invited to a bithday party.you run home excited, but your parents say you cant go , a tell you to say you are a jehovahs witness.after that you friends are never the same , they treat you as someone different.some won't even be your friends anymore.you go through school having to miss holidays , religious services etc, and you can tell the teachers think you're odd.if your lucky enought to be quite a well balanced personality it may not effect you that much.or does it?.
do the scars of rejection dig deeper than you think?.

I remember when I was growing up I wold save my money and buy myself a few things over winter-break just so I would have something new that I could pass off as a X-mas present.
Today I am am incredibly paranoid about everyone around me. Since I was used to being talked about behind my back when younger I constantly have that little nagging voice in the back of my head today for every occasion.
"They aren't talking to me---what did I do" "Why" "Are they talking about me"
Yes the root runs very deep and its very hard to overcome---its why I became a big drinker in social situations--it was easier to relate to 'normal' people when I when lessened my inhibitions and forgot the paranioa that I live with. I have since then gone out 'sober' and I ended up crying on the way home because I was at a severe loss of how to interact. Its very scary.
rejection is MY biggest fear---probably because of how I was raised.

by SpiceItUp inthere are some that are obvious and then others that just baffle me to no end..... yes i am talking about your user names.... do any of you have stories behind them or are they significant for some reason or are they just a word you made up?.
mine...well its easy.... i got the nickname of spicy back in nov of last year when i dyed my hair this crazy red color and the name of the color was "spiced ginger".
the rest of it is because i love to make things more interesting---- sorta of like adding a bit of spice to the stew (hopefully i come across as that as well .

Will religion ever be banned?
by haujobbz ini was asking because look at all the problems religion are causing :september 11,middle east crisis,waco disaster,clashes in ireland,paedophiles priests,suicide bombings,papal system etc.but think if masses of people protested it my not ban religion completely,but it could make a start to banning it.but the trouble again is that a lot of people want religion even if it is full of @*~t,yeh and why is it that people know theres problems in there religion but wont take a stand,why are religious people are such cowards to the truth.saying that though if i managed to get say jws banned from preaching i would be fulfilling bible prophecy mmm how cool lol

Spice it up, please read my post again. Jesus was ressurected without any intervention from doctors, and certainly not doctors with the medical knowledge we have today. Congradulations on your past boyfriend, but how does that disprove the ressurection?
Never said it did..I was actually proving that we can do things now that would have been considered miracles many years ago....hows that for an example.
There is no reason to believe that we are the most enlightened generation that will finally see the overthrow of religion because we are so smart and have all of the answers.
OMG----how many times do i have to say it before you finally understand---
I DONT BELIEVE THAT RELIGION WILL EVER GO AWAY--IT IS MERELY GOING TO CHANGE HOW WE PRACTICE IT---DO YOU HAVE IT NOW..OR WILL I HAVE TO REPEAT MYSELF AGAIN IN A FEW HOURS!!!!!!
